I am glad for the occasional male... but that was what the last grow was... to get seeds... now I have plenty but I want me some women!! ha.. I cloned one close just for the hell of it.. Its looking pretty meek.. and super slow growth... Well... It has not been a week yet and its still standing so thats good

Yea I have a unknown strain grown from seed. I got the seed from turkey, literally 10yrs ago. Shes a light yellowish green fem. Shes besn in flower for almost 3weeks with yellowish white hairs coming for the 2nd set of leaves all the way up. I been taking daily pics n hoping I can get my cpu running to post them. I wish if was a way to post by phone

NOOOO!! well, i guess its not that bad, its a learning experience... I think My big gal went hermi on me.. I noticed some balls.. dammmn.. Bud production is good tho, and the balls were only on the upper most bud sits.. I guess she/he was just gonna make it rain on my innocent virgin buds... scientifically its super cool! my personal smokability, not so much.. so I would have put some pics up but I frantically went through the plant with some tweezer castrating as many as I could, careful not to bust a nut so to speak...

any tips? it has like three weeks left.. is that enough time to mess my yields up? probably slightly... Ill grab some pics real fast once the light cuts off... dammnnn mayne!! Im not prejudiced in any way shape or form, but dammmmnnn you hermi's!!!

You sound like a perfect candidate for feminized seeds. Nothing worse than caring for a plant for 4-5 weeks and then killing it. (Don't listen the the "Fems=hermies" people. They are usually crappy growers that do not know what they are doing)

If one of your females started showing balls, it was most likely due to stress. IMO, most stress is due to over feeding. what ever reason the plant decided to throw balls, you need to figure it out. It is most likely your fault. Looking for excuses as to why it happened is counter productive.

You mean to say going hermi is neither a life choice the plant consciously makes or thats just who they are from birth? Good for them! they dont have to deal with the other plants judging them for their choices life humans do if the rock life both ways!

nah, but thanks for the note tho man! Its def my fault. This grow kinda snuck up on me. Next round is already veggin so they gonna be a DRASTIC improvement.

I would go fem seeds but i live for learning and Ill wait till im a seasoned vet till I go with fems.

IMO, seeds are either male or female or hermaphrodite. There is much debate surrounding this, but the only solid evidence backs me up.

Every female cannabis plant has the ability to produce male flowers. It is a natural and normal survival mechanism.
So, if a female plant feels stress, it certainly may put out male flowers. That does not mean it is a male or a hermaphrodite.


I do not understand why you would wait for fem seeds, they seem made for new growers, but I wish you good fortune.

Agreed. they will do whatever to increase their fitness.
and I wanna wait for fems just bc I wanna get a few grows of experience to learn shit and force myself to do more research. also to get decent at growing males out in order to breed. AND i dont want to pay to order seeds...
