Look, there are different ways to grow. I have seen plants go completely yellow, red, purple, even black at the end of their life cycle and put out amazing buds. I have also seen, mostly in hydro/soiless, plants stay vibrant green until the last day of life and produce great buds. I prefer the taste of a plant that has yellowed out toward the end of it's life but that's up to the individual in my opinion. Neither way is right or wrong.

That said, your plants look like they have run into the end of the pots they are in. They are probably somewhat rootbound but more importantly, they have used up something in the soil they need and aren't getting it from your ferts. I don't think that you have over fert at all. I would say to hit them with a good shot of micro nutrients and some cal mag at full strength and meta K with next watering. Also, I would foliar feed a mixture of kelp and some big bloom the next couple dark periods. That's just me, your mileage may vary.

I would caution against doing too much to them. They are really not that bad and it would suck to mess them up worse when they are right on track to make it, even if just barely. Good luck. Even if they don't improve you will still be harvesting some nice nugs.

Youre right, there is different ways to grow. Starving, stressed plants, or full, happy plants. Did you ever wonder why the taste is better when the leaves have yellowed toward the end? If they are green, then the plant still has some nutrients that it hasnt used up, which you are smoking, which is why it tastes bad.

IDK why you told him to foliar feed plants with buds on them, 2-3 weeks prior to harvest. Or feed full strength of anything this close to harvest. You say you would caution against doing to much to them, but advise foliar feeding, and adding nutes? Huh?

Dont spray your buds. 2-3 weeks prior to harvest id give them a medium dose of nutrients or youll have some harsh nugs at harvest

Yer come to think of it i do get a lot of yellowing and purpling towards the end of flowering. I always put it down to the fan blowing directly on them or too much ferts but i guess the reason fertilizer made your plants worse could be ph, i dont think thats a nitrogen def. Has there been any chance for the better and how did you achieve it or has it got worse? Any time my plant suffers deficiency or over toxic conditions of soil it slows to a snails pace and can easily add two weeks more to the flowering, bad thing is it always adds two weeks more damage to the grow, makes me wana harvest early.
