2 seedlings in each rockwool cube, keep or chop?

Hey guys

After a couple failed goes at popping single seeds I ended up soaking rockwool cubes and chucking 2 seeds in each cube to double my chances.

Well it turns out that 4 seedlings sprouted, 2 in each cube.

I was planning on doing 2 plants in 1 res (2 pots) but now I was wondering if it would be fine to just leave all the seedlings and have 2 plants in each pot, in one res.

Has anyone got any experience with this? Or would it be a better idea to just chop the weaker one in each cube?

they will be compeating with each other for food, you will most likely find that one will overtake the other and need chopping.
its not impossible to keep the two alive and well, but one may be more robust then the other.
i would say wait n see if one overtakes the other to the point of being a wast if time growing, chop the smallest one then continue on

putting space or a spacer inbetween them may be your best starting point. LSTing them, tie one over to one side of a pot and the same with the other

I'm of two minds - part of me wants to just rip the weaker one but the other part of me is thinking that it just means that I wont have to top the plants and will save a couple days in veging time.

How come?

take a razor blade and slice open the RW. remove 1 and put it in another RW cube. done.

Maybe a little late to do that as the roots have been developing for a couple of weeks now. Would have been a good idea had I thought of it earlier though. What i did notice though is that in my last grow was that the paper surrounding the rockwool cubes didnt rip, eventually constricting the main stem of the plant - this time i made sure to slice the paper before putting them into the clay pebbles.

Anyway, I've decided to keep them all! I'm running DWC so feeding them all shouldn't be a problem apart from the fact they will all be sharing the same root space. I figure that even though they're sharing root space that shouldn't affect the overall yield compared to a single plant in the same res.

Also, it means I wont have to top the plant which should save a decent bit of time on veggin.

Was very tempted to chop the little mutant but my mate grew out a grandady purp mutant which only foxtailed (absolutely no colas) that chopped over a pound of some really nice herb from a single indoor plant.

So maybe someone smarter than me knows why the leaves of my early plants are dying like the leaves on the little mutant pure indica on the left. My last 3 grows I've had the same issue... leaves look really healthy then all of a sudden start to rust.

Previous attempts to fix this have been: Bio-tea as some people thought it was caused by root rot - it wasn't caused by root rot but the bennies did seem to help. Adding Cal-Mag, again seems to help a little but problem still occurs. Using less nutes - I'm only using House and Garden A + B and drip clean, Flairform CMX (Cal-Mag) and bennies...

I was at 0.8 EC this water change, PH of 6.2 (approx 3rd week since they popped) but I dropped it down to 0.6 EC after seeing the leaf damage.

Any advice would be much appreciated

So its kinda interesting actually: the leaves on the two smaller plants of each strain have rusted up and died (likely due to the 24 - 48 hours I was giving them 1.0EC, why do I always get greedy with nutes lol ) but the leaves on the two bigger plants seem to have tolerated the higher EC much better. Perhaps this demonstrates the importance of lower EC for less developed plants?

I hope dropping the EC to .6 has stopped the issue.

edit: am i crazy for wanting to keep and grow all 4? I will be using a SCROG net for the first time so I figure I can use it to even the cannopy when I switch to flower.
