2 rooms...16 plants...Need advice!

High y'all!
So I have a veg room and flower room, 8 plants in flower/8 plants in veg.
Gonna grow big plants and use a Mars Hydro FC 3000 (3x3 flower footprint) for each plant with a trellis.
My question is what size pots should I use for my veg and flower? Also, what kinda veg time am I looking at?
I'm growing in super soil and plan to supercrop/LST them all.

I would not flower in living soil with anything smaller than a 7gal; try to get them into something like a 10gal for bloom phase if space permits. Veg time is dependent upon how/if you train them and how fast they grow.
Wattage/lighting intensity is also a factor. If they are plants grown from seed they will develop at a slightly slower rate than mature clones. LST-ing and trellis net training can slow down upward growth so it’s not that easy to give an accurate answer like “X” number of weeks of veg time. Too many factors to make an educated guess but a good rule of thumb is when they reach approximately 2/3 the size you want them to be in the final weeks that is a good time to flip to bloom phase.

Hi Richard,
Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. My plan is to start them off in 3 gallon from clones and scrog them in 10 gallon pots for flower. Also, I was going to do living soil but it doesn't seem to fit my perpetual setup. That's why I'm going to do super soil instead.

That’s probably not going to work as precisely as you think it will but if you plan for some flexibility perpetuity can be achieved this way. Some plants just don’t finish exactly when you estimate them to. So unless these are all clones from the same mama from a strain/cut you know fairly well it could be harder to estimate finishing times.

Oh yes I've kept that in mind. I will only be growing Terple by In House Genetics

“Super” soil is living soil = same. It is the microbial activity that makes it super but whatever you want to call its still a living soil mix. Been growing w/living soil in perpetuity for awhile now....

They put a label on it so they could sell it for a big markup but super soil just a regular soil mix that has been amended with compost, npk, and mineral inputs. You can take almost any organic garden soil mix off the shelf, add 20-30% worm castings, let it set for 3 weeks and it becomes “super soil.” The more you recycle it by adding amendments, mineral inputs and compost the better it becomes.

This little lady went from this:

in a total of 69 days. Just a nose under 7 weeks to go from the little clone to the plant on it's way to flower.

As @Richard Drysift stated, the strains, the lighting and the amount pruning during the plant training will play a role in the length of VEG time. So your actual results may vary.

By seeing your example, my guess is I'll have a 10-12 week veg to cover 75%a 3'x3' area. Thanks for showing!

Sorry ... bad math too early in the AM in my previous post. I meant to say 10 weeks in VEG and not 7 weeks. The coffee is starting to work now ...

That girl was 2' x 2'. If you want a plant with a 3' x 3' foot print, a 12 week VEG is more likely.

Oh true, so I could expect more like 12-15 weeks. Which I was thinking it'd be around anyways. Thanks for your input!
