2 questions

1.) My aero rez is running a little warmish ...would adding an airstone bring the temp down?
2.) If I germed a seed at the same time as I cut and started a clone, would they essentially end up hitting veg at about the same time, all other things being equal?

TRy freezing 20 oz bottles of water and rotate them into res. as needed. And yes, i would have an airstone in it, but not for cooling, for mixing and airation.

Allot of variables when you compare seedlings and clones, and especially w/ cloning there is a certian level of skill involved that can shorten or lengthn time it takes to root.

I repeat:

like ak said thats all on u....clones can start faster if u know what ur doing....if ur still novice then the seed is easier way to go (unless u buy a clone already started)

Hey Robert, contrary to what is posted above I actually use a sunleaves DuraPump that when placed in a cool air stream like the air coming out of the ac vent that will actually help cool your res some. It's probably not going to make it cool like it should be though but it helps. I would look into products like dutchmaster zone, it's what I use in my res and I never have issues with algae or funk even when my tanks run warm.

Edited to add: Clones generally will kick a seedlings ass with growth rates, plus once you have roots clones can take higher doses of nutes right away.

Clones will grow faster because once they are rooted you can hit them with full strength nutes .
