2 plants very near harvest...should I pull now or how long ??????? HELP !!!!!!!!!

Snk #1 first set of pix....next set durban poison...both grown with cfls, soil, and general organics bloom 2-4-4...8 weeks flower...actuall day 53... ik skunk got messed up a lil nute burn or deficiency bt I figures I'm already so close no point in jus lettn her be...

Ok, first and foremost...

It is IMPOSSIBLE to judge ripeness of buds with a naked eye. Anyone who is guessing is fooling themselves.
The ONLY way to know for sure where your buds are maturity wise is with a scope. Sure you can guess at it, but to know for certain, use a scope. You can get one for 12.99 at Radio Shack and take all the guessing out of it.

Hair colors dont matter, leaves dont matter, calyxes dont matter, receding doesnt matter, the only thing that matters is the maturity of your crystals. There is not a human alive who can see the condition of crystals with a naked eye. Not one, no matter how much they may claim they have telescopes for eyeballs.


THC is at the peak in cloudy crystals. You want to get the most possible cloudy crystals. That means the oldest crystals have passed their peak and are now degrading (turning amber/gold/brown). You will also have newly formed crystals clear and underdeveloped. So if you can get somewhere around 10% clear, 80% cloudy, 10% amber, you have nailed it.
Can't do that with an eyeball.

Listen to althor. Get a loupe or scope and look at the crystals. I jusy harvested a skunk #1 amd it took 60 days. I harvested with 80% cloudy and 20% clear. Some people would have let her go another week to get the amber in there to try for 10 clear 80 cloudy 10 amber but I picked it where I like it.. get a scope and deff dont cut right now

Thanx guys I appreciate the help...also I agree as far as yhe loupe which I hav , the problem is I'm color blind and hav a extremely hard time telling different colors apart..they all look the same to me :( and aa far as percentages.. they are so many I can't really put it to a percentage

You have someone you trust that could take a look for you? If not, that becomes a real quandry. I see your name is Ashley, if you live within about 5 miles of me and happen to be smoking hot, I will come check them for you.

True you can't tell with the naked eye, HOWEVER those buds do look like they could swell for another week or two.

You can see when your plants are ready by checking the "hairs" on the buds, when about 80% is brown, red etc. it's ready :) remember to flush a week before

Laugh, where do you come up with that info?

You are misquoting and giving out false information.... You check "trichomes" not "hairs"....

Lol smoking hot.....well I'm sure we aren't 5 miles from each otber but thanx for the offer...ill hav one of my girls stop by n check for me....I'm smoking a quick dried bottom bud now...bt ill probably b pulling one of these ladies near xmas...sounds gud????

you dont need to see color just look for clear or cloudy crystals if they all look the same then they are clear and u need to wait

I dont know althor,

I am working with a guy right now that has never used a Lupe and doesnt care to and he seems to nail it every time. 5 for 5 so far. Of course i checked with the lupe and he was right on the money. There is another guy i know that does a wonderful job and produces some great smokeand he got insulted when i asked to look at his plants whit the lupe.

Not only can I claim to be able to see exactly the condition of trichomes, I actually can. Being short-sighted, I cannot see ten-feet clearly without my contact lenses in, but close-up, I can see the legs on a spider-mite.

Fuckin A. If you can see them with a scope, I can see em with my naked, uncontacted eye.
