2 plants next to eachother

I'm growing outdoors and there are 2 sets of seedlings with 2 plants exactly next to eachother and one seedling next to a 1 month plant. What are the effects of a plant growing right next to a plant like that?

I have 9 plants growing in a space of 2 and a half feet. what happens if I leave them like that do they grow smaller?

The potential competition for space, light, nutrients, rooting medium, etc. all have a detrimental impact on the plants. This will not only effect size and potential yield, but overall health of the plants as well. If you are limited on space you may be better off in the long run to thin out the plants keeping only the healthiest specimens. If you are going to transplant some then it's best to get them moved prior to them getting their roots tangled.

Thanks. So How many plants should grow in a circumfrence of 2 /1/2 feet with a depth of 1 /1/2 feet of good soil?

you should have probably 2 plant's in an area that size. It's kinda like stressing the plant's if all their root's are intwined or whatnot...Take care of them lke they're your babies, give them room to breath and grow big and strong!!! :)

Sounds like you are in a raised bed or flower bed. Plant two plants with a bourd or plastic bured between them for a divider. It will help some.

Plant them as far apart as you can.

Take your other sedlings and put them in big pots.

Have you figured out what gender both are? if so kill the male by uprooting it. if both r female remove transplant them to another area. If your novice then just letem grow.
