Anyone from Ontario, Canada know what the fine/penalty is for having 2 plants in your backyard? Have 2 mixed in with some tomato plants and other veggies..Am I getting paranoid or would they most likely just pull them and possibly a small fine? Ive had no priors or anything.

Thanks!

Another thing I'm worried about..I'm on a corner so I only have 1 neighbour that is directly beside me. An old couple in their 80's my family has known for 20 yrs. I doubt they'd call the police, he is a gardener himself so he likes to check out my garden when he can and see progress. He hasn't said anything so far..

I think you would just get possession of weed that's how it usually goes in my state for a couple plants some cops will just tell you to kill it depending who you are and the cop I know one old hippy like lady that didn't even get in trouble just had to kill the plant. But the trick is to plant where no cop or snitch will see it you got cop calling friends they better not see your garden I know of one girl that will make cop calls for stupid shit just to fuck with people like she gets excitement out of it then acts friendly to them so yeah be careful of the company you keep.

I wouldn't worry then. If they've known you 20 years they'll just let it slide. if they do notice.

You could get the tomatoes on the nutes and get them upwards of 6-8foot, then hide the plants behind the tomatoes?

This is something you should be careful with. Spend a little time and get your answer from a reliable source rather than throwing it out here. Everyone means well but hearsay, anecdotes and supposition won't do you much good if you get into trouble. Without knowing the true consequences, you don't have the information you need to decide whether your little grow is worth the risk.

In reality, you probably won't get caught, but you need to know what happens if you do. Here in California possession of an ounce or less is only an infraction and the penalty is a fine of $100. No criminal record. On the other hand, possession of even one plant of any size is a felony and the consequences of getting caught trying to create a little stash for yourself could be devastating.

Here in the U.S., advocacy groups like NORML provide this kind of information and it is current and accurate. I believe they have an affiliate in Canada so hit the keyboard and get yourself the facts. Good luck, and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I plan on having the tomatoes bigger, their more in the middle being surrounded by 12 tomato plants that grew last year around 6ft.....unfortunately there isn't that much exact information on fees/fines in regards to having 1 or 2 plants..I read online 6-200 plants in canada is minimum 1-2 yrs and/or fine(most likely the worst case if you have bad luck)..even still, nothing in regards to 1-2 plants..I checked out NORML havnt seen anything yet, havnt fully checked out the site though

Your good, pot is so minor now, and if you are half as smart as you sound, you should be good, if you have no criminal record you can get away with almost anything your first offense, try to enjoy your garden and try not to stressor worry
