2 ounces of nasty cali outdoor BHO that needs cleaning, help me plz..

So a good buddy of mine, who sells a ton of pot, but does not smoke, got two ounces of brownish black BHO from cali outdoor. It's disgusting looking and smells like spicy shit. Also smells strongly of butane. I'll take pics tomorrow. But is there any way to clean this shit? Like maybe winterizing it, then purging it?

Of course you can but you can only do so much to it.If it was made from trash trim it will still have that spicey smell/taste.

Food grade. Cook with it.

I agree with both post above, the best thing to do is to try to winterize it and if it still doesn't taste very good maybe it's time to make some edibles from it.

The people who made the oil probably blasted old material that has been decarboxilated(sp) over time. Which is why is it so dark, it's probably not very stable either (not shatter or crumble). Winterizing will remove some of the fats, lipids and waxes, but won't help with the flavor.

Never used coconut oil. I have a cpl edible recipes that just use straight oil if ur interested

Yes if u already know how to properly make them. I suggest something with larger pallet. Like candy bar size or similar. Make it easier hiders nasty flavor an still get you medicated.

Suppose you try a tincture? You could use everclear and maybe flavor it with something you prefer?
I wouldn't try an extract but there are liqueurs out there that range from strawberry to melon. Any fruit really. Id recommend the smallest travel bottles to test out...plus if you make this, it just opens up your range of use in edibles.

Just want to warn ya if you haven't had a hard candy before, makes your mouth numb first and foremost. Girlfriend tried a sucker and had to get some cold drinks to tone it down.

if you decide to go that route cinnamon is a great flavor for covering up bad taste

I use amywhere from 14-20 grams per cup of coconut oil for capsules

lately ive been making caramels, and just recently started making caramel hard candies, similar to a werther

I need something that won't go bad quickly... Ive been making chocolates but they melt easily were you and I live

i would think hard candies or gummies would be best for long term storage
and yes I have noticed the same thing @GreenStick85 said, some of the ones ive tried irritated my throat pretty bad

I dont really make edibles.
But i can say hash pills in coconut oil will store fine for atleast a year at room temp. If you need something thats stable in your car this time of year i cant really think of anything at the moment. Those candies are a good idea. And they are right. If youve ever smoked a blunt, i dont know why it most often happens with blunts and especially sativas, even brick weed.. but can make the tip of your tongue numb. Thats similar to what edibles do.

Hot cannabis essential oils and coconut oil will mix at any ratios, but for cooking, you typically determine how many servings your recipe makes, and mix in that many doses of cannabis essential oil with the cooking oil called for by the recipe.

The cannabis oil that you are using also makes a difference, as all are not created equal, but as a benchmark many can appreciate, a 9-serving Duncan Hines cake mix with the concentrate from the time worn recipe for 1 ounce of prime bud (20/25% yield) would be in the range of 620 to 786 mg per serving. Trim would be about half that.

10mg THC is considered one dose by the state of WA, and only 10 doses may be packaged together, thus limiting you to 100mg THC per package. Our experiments with concentrate Absolutes in the 90% THC range, is that 100 mg is the average tolerance dose.

The reason for the difference is most likely the range of tolerance for THC in the populous, and the number of emergency room visits with ultra low tolerance folks having panic attacks.

If a persons tolerance is unknown, we typically give them 25 mg of a cannabis essential oil Absolute the first time and see what happens, titrating up from there no sooner than every 4 hours, until they reach a full dose.

When I have shifty dark outdoor Bho I heat it in a glass shot glass in my oven for a couple of hours and dose it up so that each gram of Bho makes 24 edibles, if you eat two you're gooone.
