2 month curing still taste plant/green. Need help badly.. Thank you.

Ok so i harvested my first plant. out door sativa, unknown. I let it completely finish flowering, cut it, but because of my hot temperatures in Southern California it was dry in 2 days.(This being mid October) The problem is it still taste kinda green. I was hoping it was going to go away with the cure, but it only taste a little less green now, compared to when i first cured it. Is there any way i can make it taste like its suppost to? So i can smoke it and actually enjoy it lol. Iv'e made so much hash already im sick of it. I need some good tasting green..

Uhh sort of, smells delicious when you break it apart but in the jars unbroken the smell is hardly there..kinda hay/plant..

So does this mean the humidity is too low where he lives? Under say 55%? I have one of my F13s which wound up smelling like hay, as it dried too quick in 70D 50%H environment because by itself it was too little plant. now at over 3 weeks into cure that one still smells like hay. Luckily my second F13 i jarred sooner in dry (when it snapped no later) and it cam eout fantastic.

hay smell usually comes from not drying it completely and putting it into jars to quickly. but you said it was dry in two days..so im not 100% sure

Lucky you, i wish i had some good green to burn. my hash taste like pineapples so i'm sure the bud would of been killer! Hmm I can only hope theres a miricle cure or im gunna be making more hash

Your theory is true because some of the buds i put in a few jars a little sooner and they smelled really hay/green. The rest was done properly. dried until stem cracks but does not snap, and outer layer feels crispy. This entire cure has been such a head ache lol.

well the thing about that is i dont dry till the plant stem cracks i just do it until it bends and the outter part of the bud is crispy. my bud turns out good..

Ive had hit an miss with Drying/cureing also. Seems like one plant per grow dont want to smell as good an the rest?

The best tasting bud ive cured i just hung in my shed for 4 days(hot sept days), an 7days in the jar open 2 times a day.
Tried it again on the next plant an it had no smell?

This time 6 days in 60-70' drying temps an put in the jars when the outer bud was about to get crunchy stem felt wet still, an 7 days in the jars opened 4-5 times a day.
It all turned out pretty stinky an tasty. Exept the Motivation thats half skunk an should have REAKED. Shes pretty bland smelling?

Ive read it has alot to do with the stains an how long it flowered. The longer the flower the more "turpins" an smell.

sounds like the outside got to dry to fast before the inside. The trick for me lately has been to dry and cure kinda at the same time. Like hang for 3 days jar for a few hours then sit it out for a day then jar for a few hours then sit out for a few hours and as it drys out I lengthen the time inside the jar and decrease the time exposed to air. If they stick together in the jar and dont roll around freely then you know its time to air them out. Doing this helps it to dry evenly inside and out at the same rate. This is the unspoken trick to curing IMO. I do this process until the stem snaps and then its incredible smoke. If you start to cure when the stem snaps them you have dried the outside to much. I use to dry until the stem snapped and never got the smell I was after unless I broke it up. Drying and curing properly is one of the hardest thing to learn to do for a anxious grower/smoker.
