question for ya'll
where do you pick up your rooting powder?

i can't seem to find it in my town.. is it only avaliable at hydro stores or something?
I live in the midwest and there is no hydro stores around my area. I went to a garden center, Earl May. I dont know if those stores are region specific but you should try juts a general lawn and garden store. Earl May had rooting powder but no ph up or down. Good luck with your search.

I personally prefer gels just because more adheres to the stem & cut area so there are more hormones delivered to the site. But as you can see rooting powder works just as good in someones hands that can use it :p So its really up to you its like a $4 for powder or $15-30 for gel. I would almost have to believe that you could go without any form of rooting agent using this technique, it may take longer but still seems awfully viable.

I like to use powder...Before you plug the clone into the hole...take some sicissors and add some hormone inside the hole...plus on the stem

Time for an update! Sorry its late, but my computer was being slow so I got impatient. Here's whats going on!:bigjoint:

Batch #3 is looking fantastic. They're already rooting and might have to be put into flower early. These are the kind of results I was planning on getting with my clones. I dont know what happened last time, but this time is great results. I'm thinking I might have over-watered last time.

The 4 remaining clones waiting to root from batch #2. 2 are rooting and should be ready in 2-3 days, so they will be going into flower. The others will go when they're ready.

This is the 3 clones already in flower from batch #2. They were all put in at different times, but I'm seeing a lot better results as far as height. The tallest one is a week in, the others less than that.

This is kind of an idea of what i want my girls to look like. This was one of my "trial clones" thats about 5 weeks in. It's a little taller than I would like, but just the one main cola is what i want.

This is Batch #1, or some of them. They're now 3 weeks in flower. I'm definately glad im not letting them veg long anymore. These grew to big for what i wanted. We'll see how they finish.

Heres just a shot of my armior. I took off my "cool tube" cuz it wasnt being as effective as I would have liked. I'm going to be upgrading to a 400w here soon.

As always, looking good Rhymes.

How many times have you harvested so far with
the perpetual since you started?

if so, how much have you got curing right now?

Just curious as to how much bud you can accumulate
using perpetual. :leaf::leaf::leaf:

:weed:

I would love to have more bud than I could smoke.

:-P

Whats up everyone. Time for that update. I finally got all my clones out of my veg chamber into flowering, minus one. I started germinated two top44 seeds, as I've decided to drop the 2 liters for my future grows. I recently ordered a 400w hps to put in my armior (might use the 150's as well). I'm going to do a cool tube, making it more effective this time. I am going to drop the 2 liters and go back to my pots that i have. I've decided to go for 6-8 large plants LST/supercrop in flower, and 2 in veg at all times. Making it perpetual to have constant bud of course. I figure with the 400w i can pull anywhere from 3-6 oz off a single plant, hopefully. Thats a big range but i think i can do it. Anyways, enough rambling my thoughts.

This is what I wanted to show off. Just visited the local headshop and picked up this beauty. Its super thick and quite heavy, you wouldnt want to be assaulted with it. I got it, the bowl, and a dugout for $128! 80 for the bong, 20 for the bowl, 20 for the dugout.

Batch #1. Tall and lenky, but starting to fill out. They've been in 12/12 for 4 weeks now.

This is a mix of Batches #2 and #3. They've all been put into flowering at different times. The tallest has been in 12/12 for 2 weeks now. This is how I would have wanted my sog to look like.

Heres just some shots of the flower room.

That's it! Comments!

I havent been doing this perpetual long enough. My first batch of clones is 4 weeks into 12/12. This was more of an experiement. I've got about an oz curing now to get me till my next chop.

The sky's the limit with the amount of accumilated bud :hump::joint:

good job with the cabinets. Its tuff to get small spaces to work for you. You might try pinching to keep the height down... some plants just like to stretch in flower. I used to do something similar but have moved to scrogs in my cabinets. The yields are quite good with the scrog. :-)

Thanks for the advice man. Im thinking I might give scrog a go when I can get my top 44 going. Going to tie them down real good so they get nice and bushy. Probably let them get about 18in, then put them into 12/12. 2 plants every 2 weeks. so about 8 plants in flower, 2 in veg at all times, with a scrog.

Do you think I could do one big screen, or would i have to do smaller screens with each batch. One more question, whats good matieral to make the screen with.

Yeah, its been a pain to try and keep it cool enough with the doors closed to actually grow. It doesnt go above 85 with the doors closed but i leave them open when i can, keeping temps around 81 or 82. Im going to give making a cool tube another go though, wish me luck!

I would do the screen in sections. If your harvesting every 2wks with a 8wk total cycle do 4 sections, it will be easier in the end. Contrary to popular belief you can just flower under the screen rather than veg it in. I used LST and made the plants bushy in my second scrog and then just put them to flower under the screen. My screen did not fill in all the way with this method. If you veg each plant into the screen for two weeks before flowering the results will be better.

Heat is always the cabinet growers enemy.

Thanks for the advice bro. Heat is always the issue haha. I saw an evaporative cooling fan at walmart for $80. Possible to somehow direct that cold air into a cabinet? Not likely to do it but my mind it wondering.

Its time for a fudging update! Sorry i missed out last week but my 400w came in so I wanted to get that in and my cool tube put up before I shot anymroe pics. The plants have been progressing and you can see that in the pics below. I havent totally decided what I want to do with my armior in the future. With the 400w, im hoping to improve the denisty of my buds and im finally starting to get my nutrient formula down, so If i did a sog i would hope to get an oz a plant. Or should i grow out 4-8 full grown plants and hope for 3-6 oz off each. I dont really want to mess with scrog either. Im unsure what to do! Time to get started with that update.

Here it is! My new pride and joy. I ordered this 400w from insidesun, its the $99 econo model. I want to add a couple 150w blue cfls in there to help with the stretching, but that will be an eventual thing.

I built the cool tube myself and im definately more proud this time around (2nd attempt, first was with dual 150w)Temps stay around 85/86F with the doors closed and 82/83F with the door open. It's summer and the room my wardrobe is in doesnt get get circulation. Winter this room is cold so heat shouldnt be an issue than. I also have three 8" fans, one for intake, one for extake, and one i set in the wardrobe for oscilating.

This is the 3 tallest/biggest plants from batch 1. They're definately too tall, but they're starting to get some nice top colas. The stem cant even support the weight anymore. Im excited to see how these finish out. I checked out the trichomes today and they're still all clear. They've been in 12/12 for 6 weeks now.

Heres the other plants from batch 1. Im hoping they bulk up a lot more under the 400w compared to the 2-150w.

This is the mix of batches 2 and 3. All put in 12/12 at different times. The tallest has been flowering at least a week longer than the rest. They shouldnt get much taller. This was the ideal height, or the height i was aiming for. I hope the yeild is good off these ladies.

Lastly, these are two top 44 seeds i started. I like this strain and think it would be successful in a sog if I want. Stays nice and short and the spacing between nodes has been good so far.

Good to see ya around! I'm not going to make a decision on the sog or the 4-8 bigger plants until I see how my 2nd and 3rd batches turn out. I figure I have 4-6 weeks to veg my top 44 and that will give me plenty of time to see how the 2-liter turn out. Right now its looking promising.

soon as you get that first dry weight you will know if it is worth it. the goal is too have more than you can smoke.when i get too that point i will experiment further

Its that time. Update! Let's get started.

The 3 tall monsters from batch 1. They're bulking up incredibly. They've been in 12/12 for 7 weeks now, so they're really like a little more than half done? Im already impatient with these!

The not so tall plants from batch #1. They're even starting to bulk up nicely! Im really impressed with the difference in lighting. the 2-150w did an ok job, but they're has been an explosion of growth the last week and a half, basically since i got the 400w. really impressed, if i could go bigger i would, but that is saved for a later time.

This is beautiful batches 2 and 3! They're really starting to look nice! The tallest one was put in 12/12 on june 8th i think. The others were all put in at different times up to 2 weeks after that date, so the last one went in on june 22nd. Cant wait to see how these ladies finish out.

These are my top 44 seeds growing well. I topped them both last week and they're both starting to bush up nicely. Hopefully both turn out girls so I have 2 mothers to work with. They'll continue to get topped multiple times and a little LST as well.

Thanks for viewing and please comment!
