2.5 weeks since first calyxs. How do they look?

Do you guys like growing indicas or sativas?

  • Sativa because I like the size of the plants and don't mind the looser airy buds

  • Indica because I like the relaxing couch lock high of a good indica

  • Sativa because I like the clear, fuzzy, cerebral effects I got from a sativa.

Hello I'm running a mixed spectrum grow, 4, 23 watt cfls. And a 400watt metal halide. Added 2500k cfls to promote growth in the orange spectrum, I wante a nice mixed white blue and orange spectrum so I use the 400watt metal halide along with 2500k cfls to promote flowering.
For nutrients I use no name brand plant food, for veg it is 24-8-16 and for flower I use 10-30-1. Trying to find something lower in N for my flowering, when I get paid I'm gunna go down to my local hydroponics shop. The RH stands at 50% have a fan going and the temp sits at around 24-26 degrees Celsius. The ladies in the photo are, 1 blueberry plant, which are the last two photos. and one sweet island skunk (island sweet skunk) that I crossed with my male blueberry so now it is growing blueberry/sweet island skunk seeds! My first attempt at breeding! Which is the first two photos. Switched these girls to flowering about 25 days ago. But didn't see many pistils until about two and a half weeks ago. Get e been blowing up since. Ones sativa dom and blueberry is definitely an indica. Nice fat buds. Anyways how do the flowers look so far? This is only second grow and the first time I only got popcorn buds. This time I'm 2.5 weeks in and already my buds are bigger than last time. Do these plants look alright to you guys? Mostly what I'm wondering is if you think for these strains and the flower time that these buds look okay? Any feedback is appreciated and constructive critisicm is welcomed

Did you defoliate them? Topping and some LST would be good to try on next grow, kinda scrawny. But excellent that you are improving! Congrats.

No didn't defoliate! Did do some slight trimming of the sugar leaves the samaller ones cuz I thought it's help the buds fill out on the blueberry but I'm going to refrain from doing that from now on. Yeah I was planning to try that for next grow, definitely wanna get more tops! I have a plant in veg that I'm working on it has alotta growth tips so far, 8 actually :) so I'm hoping it turns into a nice plant with 8 tops. Only have two side branches going off parallel to eachother, tied them down and topped them twice to get 8 tips. Idk if it's a technique already but I find with only these two branches they got a lot thicker faster and seem to be carrying more nutrients (since all the nutrients are running through just two branches.) just a guess though? They're thicker branches and they have a small enlargement at the base of them which I heard means they're passing a lot of nutrients through! Thanks for viewing my post and I'll make another thread to keep ya guys updated on this plant too!image.jpg
