My thoughts too. (bit stretchy?) Otherwise they look good. G'luckOK TO ME get it bit closer to light
What lights and wattage are you using? The 1 1/2'' surely will help. My 150w HPS is 4-5" from the canopy and my CFL's get from 1-2" down to 1/8-1/4" without drying or burning. When I first started with the 150w I had it like 10+" and got decent bud but the plant stretched. It seemed like (visually) I was allowing more light spread out but it just wasn't intense enough. I was very happy with what only a few inches closer yielded. Now I have the proper fans and can get really close and the outcome is looking good so far. When I adjust lights I will wait 10+ minutes and check the feel of the leaves closest to the light. I do this by placing the leaf on my wrist to guage how warm it is.(I cant use my fingers or hands because they're too rough) If it feels warm it may burn, turn brown and dry up. If it still feels cool it's likely ok. Just watch your plant as you bring the lights closer. Look for signs of bleaching, curling, and drying etc. Test a fan leaf for you ideal distance with your particular light. When you find the range then move light that close to your best tops. If you have the desire and means to place a few reflective surfaces closer to your plant(box it in at one corner of your grow cab and move lights above) this would help utilize more light. Just move them(reflective pieces) farther away if new growth becomes a factor. Know what i'm saying? Even if you take cardboard squares and tape printer paper on them and surround your plant with the light focused on the canopy, you'll have much more smoke in the end. You have a bunch of light that is bouncing around that large area(pictures can be deceiving at times maybe it's an illusion?) and when it hits the plant the intensity has been lost. I did that one time and I was still happy with what I got but the next time using the reflective props was much better. Now I use mylar lined carboard boxes(tall) to start flowering plants in. This acts like a form-fitted, homemade phototron that just saturates the plants from all direction. Nice tight growth with CFL's - then I'll move up one more size before finally going into my cab.Yea i just raised the plants another inch n a half that good?
Im also tryin an experiment w two seeds that just sprouted i put them on 12/12 soon as they did n im using 4/23w 6500k
You have some decent light to work with. I was thinking about trying 12/12 from seed too, on my next run.Im also tryin an experiment w two seeds that just sprouted i put them on 12/12 soon as they did n im using 4/23w 6500k
