Honestly, this has been a really enjoyable experience growing these plants and I have learned a ton. I wish I could disappear for a while and have someone take care of my plants. I love checking on my plants multiple times a day but it's really getting hard to tell if there is new growth. I will post some pictures in a couple days. If you guys want some new pics just let me know as I have nothing better to do.

:mrgreen:Thanks for the compliments guys!

My plants have been flowering for 6 weeks. Not too much has changed since the last time I posted pictures. I currently have 3 gallon pots that I am using. I haven't noticed a ton of new growth on either plant especially with the colas.

I was wondering if I should maybe transfer to a bigger pot size to help increase yield?

Is it too late in flowering to do this and if I do this do you think my plant would benefit from this?

Does anyone know how long on average it takes for the plants to flower?

The reason I ask is because I have been comparing my bud size to SeeMoreBuds's Book and the yield doesn't look as large as his so far?

Does longer flowering mean bigger buds?

Everyone should check out their plants at night. Bring in a little light and flash it on the plants and you can see the all the crystals glittering.

(A) Yes a bigger pot size will help growth.

(A) Yes all strains have different flowering times (6-12 weeks flowering only not inc... vegging)
Does longer flowering mean bigger buds
(A) no flowering longer doesnt help as it depends on the strain.

Thanks for the quick response! What size pots do you usually grow in? Do you think moving to a 5 gallon pot would be better at 6 weeks into flowering? I think it would help the plants as my 2nd plant is not as green as I'd like. I am not quite sure what the problem is with the leaves turning lighter yellowish-green, possible root rot? I haven't seen either plant grow much height wise in the past 3 weeks. I could probably repot and mix my soil better w/ some perlite.

i have 2 sizes ...
small one for seeds and 1week old than a 5 gallon big ass fucker ...bigger the better pot ... your find your plant wont overwater with a big pot..
repotting it stresses the plant and roots so i just use ( 2 )

if all the soil has roots in there its best to get a bigger pot with alot more soil ...!
After I pulled out the root ball there were roots all over the bottom. Good thing is that they looked healthy (no signs of root rot). There was little space for them to grow in 3 gallon buckets so I think they will do better in their new homes ;-)

No but when the plant has roots all over its a sign of a bigger pot and it will over water easy when like that intill a bigger pot ..

So before when I was using a 3 gallon pot I was watering with 1 gallon of water plus nutrients. Would you suggest 2 gallons of water for a 5 gallon pot? Also, if you are going to double the amount of water would you want to double the amount of nutrients recommended as well? It gets warm in in the bathroom with 20 cfl so the plants typically need watering every 4 days or so. I just don't want to have to spend any more money right now on anything. I've spent over $200 for everything I have or have used so far.

When should I start checking trichomes? Should I cut little leaves off to check because my microscope needs to be on a flat surface to see anything?

I will most likely do a journal update on friday/saturday when I water again.

just a curious newbie. Im thinnking of making a box that is 5' high 3' wide & 6' long. i was going to split it up into 3 differrent sections the mama the babies & some pretty girls. i was thinking about splitting it in half 4' then leave a section 2' wide. then split that section into 2 sections 1 section would be 3' then the bottom section would 2'. what do you think to you have any tips or pointers . it would be greatly appreciated. i also got a couple plants going out back they havent shown sex yet but i cant wait. i also just had some sprouts pop up out doors. they're about an inch i hope they grow in time
