Well coming up here in the next month i plan on germinating. It will be an inside op, down in my basement. I have read that basements are just as good as a place toa grow as anywhere. It does not recieve a/c or heat so my first question is would this be a problem? With summer coming up i can't imagine it dropping below around 60 degrees down there. Im not trying to do nothing crazy, so prob 2-4 plants is what I plan on doing. That is already enough to send me to fuck-me-in-the-ass prison and i dont know the laws on numbers of plants but im not growing than 4 . As for strands i know for sure I want Black Domina, Blue Moonshine, Arjans Haze, and maybe automatic ak47(I havent researched much into auto-flowering plants so if this would conflict with the other plants let me know). I wanted to throw atleast one 100% sativa in the mix but ive read that doesn't mix well with Indica's. Please let me know if these strains will not mix well. As for lights thats why im making this post, money isn't really an option, as long as its under $600 for the whole setup. For 2-4 plants i figured that was more than enough money. Ive been hearing about these meter squared setups and that the yield would be near a lb, so this is what we plan on doing. Is 4 plants enough to fill a m2? I was wondering if HPS or ML lights would be best for these plants for optiumum budding time, yield, quality and ESPECIALLY power use. And are c02 tanks neccessary? Do i need fans since its in a basement and its not a real encloded basement, it kind of connects to under the house.

PS. I plan on kind of following Whidow Maker's guide for most of it since he seems on his game.

PS. Since i could possibly spend up to 800 dollars if neccessary would a grow box be plausible? Ive read on some that they can grow an inch a day :O. Would it make this whole process easier since it includes fans and timers etc

Firstly, I would like to say that you are well equipped economically to grow about twice as much as you aim to grow, possibly more. Even $600 is enough. I built my simple closet grow with around $30. It doesn't get the plants growing at their optimum rate, but at least its doing something.

For the first question, you would need some form of air movement. just get a fan to blow on all your plants. When the plant breathes, you would want the air it just expelled to move away from it and fresher air to take its place. Plants also sweat out waste products that rely on air movement to sweep by it.

you sound like you know what your doing and I dont really know how much you do or do not know. But ill go over some basics just in case.

Im pretty sure that between Metal Halide and HPS, one of them is better for veg and the other is better for flowering. But you can use either one for the entire life of a plant. You should shoot for around 400W if not higher IMO.

I think the "automatic" ak-47 is a regular ak-47 plant crossed with a ruderalis (least commonly used) strain of marijuana. If so I would imagine the bud production to be less than normal. Ill fill you in once i find out more.

What do you mean sativas and indicas dont 'mix' well? As far as my knowledge goes, you can grow them both at the same time from the start. Sativas will usually just take a few extra weeks to finish up flowering.

Im pretty sure 2-4 plants would cover a m2. Never did the math but it seems like it. Generally, the more room you give a plant to grow, the bigger it will grow and the more it will yield.

C02 tanks are not a necessity but they can speed up the growing process up to 5x faster.

Why do you plan on germinating next month? I think you should start the process as soon as possible bc it's a 3-4 month process.

actually, i just checked back at seed boutique after some time and i think they have adjusted their prices. seems higher than before. but the Nirvana section is still $21.40

near ATL. Yea i havent looked for everything but im sure it has to be in there. That site is awesome it has so many diff sources. Im prob jus goin with a 5 pk feminized blue moonshine for now. Anyone else use seedboutique in the US safely?
