Making the compost from John Evans brings me to a link where he has outrageous prices- could you list needed indgrediants ?
All u need is a bucket, water, a bag of compost(I use EverGreen Cow Compost that you can get from Lowes for 1.39 a bag), some unsulfered molasses, an aqurium pump with hose & airstone, and a paint strainer.

Step 1. Get a 5 gallon buck and a 5 gallon paint strainer from Lowes.
Step 2. Fill the bucket up with water.
Step 3. Assemble the pump, hose, and air stone. Let the pump bubble the water for about 15 mins to 1 hour. this will help get the chlorine out of the water.
Step 4. Place the 5 gallon paint strainer inside the 5 gallon bucket.
Step 5. Put 3 Tablespoons of Unsulfered Molasses in the bucket and let it bubble for a minute or two. This will provide food for the bacteria you are trying to grow.
Step 6. Place 6-8 Cups of the cow compost in the bucket. Make sure the air hoses are not clogged as with the cow compost.
Step 7. Let the tea brew for 24 hours.
Step 8. Remove the the entire paint strainer. This should catch all the bits of cow compost from the tea since it is lining the bucket.
Step 9. Use tea as is or mix with 2 Parts water and 1 part tea. I never dilute my tea, but some people do.
Step 10. Wait two week and watch how your plants take off. Especially in root developement.
Note: Some people add Superthrive to their tea AFTER it is ready to be put on the plants. I do this and I also add Azomite to my tea AFTER it has brewed for 24 hours and ready to be used on the plants.

Sorry for the late reply Marley. I've been tending to my own Garen...LOL...I think you should transplant your plants into dixie cups. I never let my plants stay in those cubes that long. In fact, I transplant into cups as soon as mine sprout their cotyledon leaves. FYI, don't let your soil get so dry. I don't think your plants are ready for bloom ferts yet. They still need to veg and get a little more healthy.

Thanks that how to do made my life easier!
Also they went to dixie cups about 24 hours ago in FF soil
Man! I can already see the improvement in the leaves!!! Your right
Will post pics before nights end...
The stems seem really weak- the book said to slighty shake the stem once a day to make stronger - I will try since they are to small for a fan..
Thx Family!!

Ohhh yeah I accidentally left about 7 seeds germinating and they dried out! Put them under soil yesterday - hopefully a couple will make it :(

No prob dude. If you are using Fox Farm soil then don't use any other nutes from atleast a month. The compost tea won't burn your babies so use that or just plain water because FF has alot of nutes in the soil. I am not sure about the shake the stem thing because my fans shake my plants constantly as they move air across them. I fluff the soil that my ladies are in by gently pressing the sides of the dixie cups. This helps them get air to the roots. Sorry to hear about your seeds. This growing stuff needs ALOT of attention.

Here is a pic of one of my ladies before I put her outside...Dixie cups rock!

Mannnn those are looking good!!
How many total???
Hopefully next year I can do it bigger like you!!!!!!!!!

Been busy - got the compost brewing for about the last 12 hours now....

The ones I lost germinating (due to the 360 blowing hot air on..are being replaced by assorted extras from Nirvana (got 6/6 germinated!)
That puts me at :
2 Reggies
6 Thai Fantasy
6 Assorted (Emerald Triangle, Grapefruit Krush...etc)

Believe I have enough perlite..
How many bags of FF do you put for each 3x3x3??
think I need more

And as the pics show the soil has made them spring to life!

Need them to grow quick -- Wanna get them outside!!

Thanks man. I'm groing 326 plants right now and it's a bitch caring for them too. Put all the Mr. Nice outside today. I'm brewing some compost tea too. Hell, I am always brewing the stuff. I can't give you any info on the Fox Farm soil other than don't use anything but water for a month. I see you got the free seeds that Emerald Triangle were giving away at the tude. I got those too. I have the Emerald Jack, Super Sour OG, and Grapefruit Krush....Got a Budda Seeds Quasar(fem auto) and a Budda Seeds White Dwarf(fem auto) too.

The Dixie cups you have are a good look. Now, you're looking like a grower. ;-) You should let the plants stay in the cups until they reach the top of your light...Then transplant them outside. This way you can relax knowing they can withstand the punishment of heavy rains and outside life. I had a few last year that got ripped to shreads by heavy T-storm rain because I put them out too early. Don't rush your ladies. Make sure they are ready for the world 1st. Can't wait until I can put my Exodus Cheese(GH), Kalshnikova(GH), Super Bud(GH), Purple Power(Female Seed Co), and Lemon Skunk(Female Seed Company) outside. FYI, out of all the different strains I am growing, I must say that I am impressed by these.....

1. Female Seed Company Pure AK(So stanky)
2. Female Seed Company Northern Lights(Filled with tight spaced nodes)
3. KC Brains Mango(70 days old and the 5 ladies I have are all 3 feet tall)
4. Green House Seed Co. Super Lemon Haze(Gotta love the smell of lemons and dank)
5. KC Brains Choice(70 days old and 6 of my ladies are 3 feet tall)
6. KC Brains Leda Uno(70 days old and the 14 I have are 3 feet tall and stanky)
7. G13 Labs Hypnotic(Man....the smell of this plant is so unidue. I only have one, but man she smells like heaven. She is 18 inches tall)
8. TH Seed S.A.G.E(This plant smells like old school dank 13 inches)
9. Dinafem Powerkush(Dude, I damn near broke my back kneeling down to sniff this chic)
10. Delicious Seeds Northern Lights Blue(This should be called CANDY...smells like CANDY)

Thus far, I am not impressed by my Mr. Nice seeds. Don't believe the hype about them. They grow ok, but they are no better than my other seeds. When you buy your seeds next time make sure you pick up pack of Female Seeds Pure AK. They will stink you out your grow room before you can even put them outside. I can't wait to take clones from the 8 Pure AK that I have. Man they smell so damn dank. :eyesmoke:

yea miracle grow sucks try jacks classic 20-20-20 or rapid grow 20-20-20 with 7.0 ph and a 0-10-5 for bloom never did me wrong.
Dont use jack's if you want organic.
I dont know how you have it set up, Im trying to hide my stuff behind tall wild weeds and thornbushes. You want it to belong there. So I would amend the native soil a foot or so with bag compost(manure, chicken, homemade), worm castings, guano, perlite, something like ocean forest mix with happy frog 2:1.(lots of clay and rocks...Ill let you know) You could use teas.

Gotttttt dezzzyyy Throwed- how long will it take you to dig those holes???? Wow thats ALOT of Green!!!!
You shoveling all that yourself??

Ok I went to dig my holes today- I found a spot with lots of trees (thru lots of thorns...) that gets some light... I thought it I took a few of the smaller branches down (trees are only around 15-30 feet) it would be a good spot- although there is a spot for fishing about 60 ft away...no1 comes to the actual site to grow-the fish spot yes... Or keep it out on the open..damnn it's hot !!! Lmk whatcha think!

My masterplan has been in the works since last year. I dug my holes when it was cold....You know...When there are no fly overs like there is now. I planned before I planted. There's no way in hell I would go outside now to dig all the holes. It's too damn hot for that and not to mention the flying pigz are looking around right now for people in the woods. It took me about a month to take soil to my spot and to dig 400 holes. Yes I did them by myself. I never let anyone know where my grows are. The digging wasn't the hard part. Transporting bags of soil on my 4 wheeler was a bitch and very time consuming due to how far away my spot is. I put most of my bitches out in the middle of the night. Since I did all the work before hand all I needed was a small trovel to put them in. I made sure they were all 12-18 inches before they went outside too...this way they can fend for themselves. I have a small trailer on the back of my 4 wheeler which had all my plants on.(Rubbermaid) Next year remember it is good idea for you to dig early and start your soil early because it takes time for Dolemite lime to work in the soil good(for good pH). My holes have excellent soil in them. If I dig around them, I can see earthworms in the soil. Be careful out there when you are digging your holes. Deep in the woods is the best. Stay away from the city. My holes are surrounded by trees. When the copters go by they really won't be able to see my plants because the tress shade them, but adequate light get to my babies. My plants are also the exact same color as the other surrounding plants. In the hot summer days the shade from the tress will be important. It will keep the plants shaded/cool and will hide them from the fuzz. I don't grow near water because that is what the fuzz looks for. I have containers that collect rain water and I take water with me. I do my watering at 3AM and my plants will be good when morning hits. Gotta use the old noodle when growing. I hardly ever do anything during the day to my garden. At night time it is just me, my wheeler and my Smith&Wesson Bodyguard 380 plus my machette. Between the collected water, the water I take and water from the rain... my plants are good to go. I just have to keep an eye on the weather. If it rains I wait 2-3 days before I go water them at night and every 2-3 days after that if it doesn't rain.

Sounds like it could work 22- just remember your going to have to go out every few days at least to water.... Think it would
Be much better to give them a head start indoors....go throw out a few now...see
If anything pops up..

Dang Throwed if you got a chick she must be Pissed!! Lol
I 99.9 % confident that no one will stumble upon my site .. And the trees will camouflage them like yours.,, my only concern is if someone will Smell them from around 60-70 feet away???
Geez how much soil did you get it looks like 3 bags of FF will go in one hole!!
Also the Lime ????? How much of this and how to add???? Just when I thought I had everything!!!!
Happy Growing my friends

I have a few chics, but my main chic smokes herb so she doesn't mind what I am doing. You know how chics like to burn then crush all night.8o) Smell isn't that big of a concern for me because I am a couple miles away from most people. Smell will be a prob for you though...Especially if you are growing a skunk or diesel strain. It takes 4 bags of cow compost and 2 bags of potting soil to fill up 10 holes.(plus a dab of pearlite and azomite) You do the math...LOL...Dolemite Lime is cheap. It's like 6 bucks for a 40 pound bag. 40 pounds is all you need. A little goes a long way. When I mix for 10 holes I use 3 cups of Dolemite lime. I bought 3 bags and still have some left.

The Hydro Store told me to not worry about the Lime.. Got a ph test kit for seventeen bucks... A lot more
Soil too.... What ratio are you mixing everything?? (soil) I'm thinking about not using peat moss.. Since is does throw off the ph & breaks down fairly quickly.... May just throw mulch on top....

Also does your compost smell after a couple days... Cuz geeezzz it does for me.. Now
My grow room smells like cow manure.... (that's not good!!!)

Your composting in your grow room. Why? Lime is important in organics soils. So what are you planting in? Peat moss I think for holding water and for breaking up the native soil so its eazier for roots to grow. While mulch is to prevent water loss and keep roots cool in the heat and warm in the cold.

I'm saying that the compost I fed my ladies that is in the soil...stinks!!!
I'm not making the compost in my grow room...
Ok so peat moss is a must?? I thought my putting my own soil there & the perlite in those fun 3x3x3 holes that I have to dig would allow the roots to grow w/o any issues...

Um, if you are talking about the compost tea then......If your compost tea stinks then DON'T use it. My brew does not stink. It smells sweet and earthy due to the molasses and/or organic brown sugar I use. Zcomfort is not saying peat is a must, but it has its uses. I use peat in some of my holes but not in all of them. When you dig holes you have to figure out exactly what each hole needs. The soil will not be the same in ever hole. Similar maybe, but not exact. Not to mention each hole gets differnt levels of sun light so you have to adjust to that too. Like some of my hole have mulch and others don't. 3x3x3 is good. Make your own mix and mix it with the soil that you dug out of the hole.

Sounds like a game plan!

Almost stepped on a rattlesnake today.. He was in the ground and I seen him mouth open 180 degrees .. Waiting to protect himself!!!! Luckily I seen him and hopefully the boots that go up close to my knees would have been worth their weight in gold ... Close call!!!!!!!

Ok since some of my seeds didn't make it, should I order more- because beside the Reggie I have only 12 growing... One is looking iffy since she just isn't growing much.... I really wanted my yield to be 5 lbs ... Not including Reggie --so---
Should I order more seeds... Getting a little late for that- or do you think I can pull of 5lbs - possiblily 11 plants???

And if I order seeds again should I go ahead and get next years too? Keep em in the freezer & all...
