1st time with tent need venting advice

ok so i have a 48x48x78 grow went that will be running with a 400w and (2)150w HPS when flowering. Ive ordered a 400cfm fan to use as an intake, the room temp outside the tent wont be that warm and the ballast will be outside the tent and i will obviously have fans going inside the tent.

Does this sound like it may work alright the 400 runs pretty cool??

I think you will be ok as long as your planning on exhaustng outside your will be fine........If you just exhaust back into the room your tent is in you will have heat issues......So take your 4" fan put it up high and then run ducting out of the back side of the fan out your tent and then outlet it somewhere outside like through a window or your attic.....What ever you have to do to get that old hot air away from your grow area.....Then you just open up the flaps on the bottom of the tent and you have passive intake........Are you planning on cooling your light and exhausting air with one fan or just exhausting air and not having your light cooled??

so ur saying id be better off using my 6inch fan as an exhaust fan rather than an intake. i wasnt planning on having my light cooled i have 1 big fan blowing heat off the lights and then 1 big tower fan moving air around i was hoping this would be good when i add my intake or exhaust fan

its called negAtive air pressure..... u dont need an intake fan.

the two 150s arnt on i was just playing with how the gonna hang

Yes you dont need an intake fan....You just need an exhaust fan......And yes having those fans inside the tent are good but that is not an exhaust setup those fans are just blowing the air around inside the tent you need to pull air into the tent while exhausting old air OUTSIDE.....If you not doing that then your grow is flaud..... So put your 6" fan up high and connect some ducting to it and run the ducting to someplace outside or in your attic.....
