1st time need some info

hey all can i have a couple of opinions please.
i was told off a friend i could cut my plant in half while still in the grow room and move light down to strenghen the buds at the bottom.
would this work?

i will take a couple pics and post them in around an hour. any opinions reply!

Seems like he is talking about topping. You are not perse cutting down half of the plant, more or less the top fan leaves coming out. But if ou are strapped for height, ive heard people cutting them down to size then budding.

:confused:sounds like topping, usually you cut off the top before flowering stage and this shocks the plant and starts sending flowering hormones to the lower branches, i accidentally topped and this has been working great, lots of buds so far and she is not done yet

that was my thinking i know u can top them just before flowering but my plants are in the 7th week :O
i personally thought that wen they get flushed the full plant comes down.
my friend told me he has cut off top half of plant before and moved light down so bottom buds get more light for a few days.
doesnt sound right does it?

he might be talking about pruning before flowering. it is not the same as topping. pruning is cutting back certain branches for more growth and light. reserch before you cut anything. and by asking the people on this site, move in the right direction. good luck.

cheers dude im currently tryin 2 upload some not the best quality pics. the 7th week started yesterday.
i started from cuttings of G-13 because its my 1st time im just hoping its an 8 week flowering plant :D

I've heard of people harvesting the top of the plan and leaving the bottom, under-developed buds for a couple weeks to finish up. Never tried it though. That what you're talking about?

thats wat my m8 told me 2 do harvest the top and leave the bottom with the light lower down.
did ur friend say it worked?
would u risk it?

I've tried it before (successfully) and I'm doing it again... I noticed the buds get denser but not much bigger... I call it a staggered harvest... Your post was a bit confusing to people here because you didn't mention you were harvesting or that your plant was in the flower stage, or what your intentions were...

I've even posted about this too as I have a few question... I also had a friend who knows more tell be that this is what he does... because the lower buds are smaller and supposedly mature slower because they haven't gotten all the light that the top buds get...
