When I used a cooltube I used to keep it around 6-10" away from my tops with a 600w.

I just used garden wire in a hook and stake kind of shape and pushed it into the medium to keep them in place.

Your last pic looks like it could be the start of an Mg def.

Which could be caused by too much N or a pH uptake issue.

I back off nute strength with every cut I make until they respond with new growth.

Initially I would reduce feed strength and pH at 6.5 as below this in soil Mg has a hard time being uptaken.

ok thanks j i did give a half strength other day when probs not need any as the in canna profesional soil which should have enough in for a few waterings, il get them out tomoz and give just water and get a few decent shots i have moved the light about a bit more away from the plants aswell

I should expand a little.

You can use magnesium sulphate when using coco as your medium but you MUST foliar feed it and not use it in the medium as a root drench.

Soil is fine either way.

you should be careful just adding MG as it works with calcium very closely (hence cal/mag) if growing in coco cal mag is almost always needed as cocos properties means that it will naturally lock it out....HOWEVER....if you buy very expensive coco you dont seem to get this problem at much if at all!
anyways ima duck out abit mate n wait for flower...as the terminator once said.....ill be back!

Try n fill your pots to 1inch from the top mate, mAKE full use of them pots.

The one with retarded growth....looks like it's being overfed, this causes messed up leads as well as burn are you feeding ?

If so cut back on that one. If your not feeding run 3x the pot size of water through it and wait for it to dry, when you notice a slight N Def resume feeding at 1/2 what they were on before. Some strains are light feeders some are not.

Yes you could easily make 8 tops. Cut for 8 today and give them 2 weeks of tlc n you'll be fine.

Which ever plant number 5 is.....it's Guna be a hitch with them super tight nodes...if your going to cut for 8 and you have 2weeks from today I would wait 4-5 more days then cut this will allow the lower set of nodes to grow larger and better deal with the topping you then have 10 days recovery before flip.

Bear in mind when comparing to j.s his are in coco and your are in dirt so his will be growing faster...what's your temps etc saying

Hey budolskie.

Here's how mine look tonight.

The 3 tops that I cloned have rooted but are still in their makeshift humidity domes.

2 of the 4 critical clones have rooted.

Here's my pics taken today.

If you look the first pic compared to these other 2 pics and there is only 2 days between them. This is the growth in coco lemon king was on about.

I'll be cutting for 8 tomorrow.

Just remember a few things with pH meters.

1.They're only as good as the last successful calibration.
2.If the probe dries, it dies.

I can highly recommend 2 pH meters.
1. PH ESSENTIALS pen around £40. Good throw away pen. 1 point calibration.
2. BLUELAB PH pen around £65. 3 point calibration. 4,7 and 10. I only ever use 2 point 4 and 7 with mine.

Store pH pens in either plain water or KCI solution for longevity.

Iv been looking at the blue lab like with the temps on aswell, what I should let the probe sit in water when not in use?

The BLUELAB has a sponge inside the cap.

You just keep the sponge wet with tap water or preferably KCI.

I emailed BLUELAB to confirm because in the accompanying booklet it says store in, water, KCI or buffer4.

They advised me not to use buffer 4 and have since contacted the booklet printers to get the budfer4 taken out of the info.

Just make sure you don't put the pen away with nute solution on the glass probe as this is the number 1 reason probes fail.

I always rinse mine under cold water before and after use.
