1st time grower, 5 week flower

So I planted a randeom seed a got in a bag. It's on 5 week flower. been giving it GH three part nutes every other week. Everything seems to be going great until I nnoticed a slow down in bud development. Does anyone have a clue why ...


I have it under a 400 w hps.
Using ffof soil in 5 gal smart gro pots.
temp stays between 70-78..
so if anyone any feedback

By the way I didn't top it...
it just slipt on its own like that ha pretty sweet If I say so myself lol

They look right where they should be for your time frame
Rapid bud growth slows around week 6 for most indicas and hybrids. The last few weeks you will see more ripening taking place than weight being put on. Lots of things changing color and smells developing is what you should be looking for. Nice work btw you have a great looking garden!

Hey thanks man appreciate that.
one more question how long you think I should let her flower?? Since I don't know the strain I'm not sure on how log I should let it go. I don't want to harvest to early either

Fdd2blk has a great explanation for how to tell when plants are finished in the harvesting and curing section. There is a lot of debate on how to tell when a.plant is finished. I think fdd nailed it when he said it just looks done. The pistils change color and recede into the calyxes, the leaves fade and start to taco and curl upward, and the buds get a golden tinge to them. Once you see.it you'll know. Best bet is once you think it's done let her go a little longer. I'm the same as you, early weed is my pet peeve
