1st time ever growing

this is my first time ever growing i have the plants in my girlfriends closest but need to transport them back to my house after college break, i have them on 24 hour light right now and there slowley growing there about 8 inches right now, i have a mini van but im not sure when i should start flowering and is there any effect on the plants if i wait til after break to start flowering so i have space in my car for the plants

When to flower depends on how big you want the plants. When you start to flower, remember that they will probably double in size. I would recommend using 18 hours of light to let your plants sleep. You could keep the plants in veg state forever as long as you feed her and keep your lights 18-6. Don't forget to tuck her in at night. LOL

thanks cause what do you recomend i feed it with and im water it with aqua globes wich give it water when needed but so far ive had it on 24 hours and theyve been growing but i will tell my girlfriend to let them sleep for a little

sleep schmeep. 24/0 has always worked fine for me, but to each their own i guess. feed them plant nutrients and i'd recommend not using aqua globes but actually learning about the plants and paying attention to what they need and how to give it to them...

those globes only really knows if at the bottom of that globe spout is dry not the hole plant and besides that it dont water the hole plant eqaully enoughand it only really waters the bottom spot of the soil not the top and all around NOt good water despencer.

From prev. post u know by know the globe is a bad idea. Either way, a 24/7 OR an 18/6 light schedule will work fine, but to qute freddy, to each their own, but u gotta decide one or the other- u just can't let em 'sleep' every now and then, it's GOTTA be a constant light schedule day in, and day out, which means running ur lights with a timer. If u don't have a timer, then i'd suggest 24/7 light. and also doing as much homework as u possibly can on this subject. U can find just about everything u need to know to get started in the grow faq on this site, and if u have questions, feel free to ask people are usually willing to help. Luck

i do the 18/6 schedule it has been working well for me get light most ll day and most of the night and 6 hours of sleep plus buy doing this schedule its used to some type of decent sleeping periods so when u do have to flower 12/12 it would be already for that set up.

yea i have the globes in but i also water them every other day or when i see that the top soil is starting to dry out so far everything has gone good but thank you for the imput on the time ive been told that 24 hours isnt bad i do have a timer for when im going to start flowering but im thinking i might not start flowering until i get back to my house so i can keep a better eye on them because i dont trust my girl to take care of that part for me

well i would take out the globe n do the finger test to know when to water it... if ur pots pretty small stick ur finger bout a inch down into the soil if its dry than water if ur pot is anything bigger than 2 gals stick ur finger 2 inch deep... n i would say do 24/0 the plant really dnt need any dark right now

what kind of light(s) are you using?
if your woried about the pants being to tall for your car you can always take clones and let them root and transpot the clones to your place. I don't plan on moving for a nother year or two but when I do decide to move I'm going to make sure I have alot of mom and dad planst and take them for all the clones I can. Root them then trans port them to my new place and if half of them die oh well because that's better then losing 1 hole plant that could have been used for alot of clones. A friend of mine has his on 24/0 and his power whent out for 24 hours and his plant didn't have problums since he's just veging them for a mom and waits till the out door season comes then he takes alot of clones and takes them to the outdoors for nature to do the flowering work so I would think 24/0 would be better just incase they don't have light for 6 Hours and so that you won't have to work around that

nothing should go wrong with u moving the big plant anyways its not like u r going to put stuff on top of it it should be fine to move from 1 place to another

thank you all and i decided im just going to let them veg until january like 14 then ill have my girl friend flower them for a week then im going to come pick them up in my van hopefully i wont have any problems if anyone can see anything bad happeneing until then let me know but i think im just going to keep it on 24 hour light until then but im having her check the water everyday with the aqua globes still in there because as of right now there doin fine.

ur plants will probably be about a foot and a half of height

what kind of nutriants should i give the plants for feed and where can i get it like home depot

Hmm... fuck man I aint got nothin at home depot ever for nutes. But i got a couple nurserys close by, maybe u do too? As long as ur keepin the plants in VEG just give them something HIGHER IN 'N' THAN IN 'P' AND 'K'. Nothin too crazy though, keep it to like a 10-5-5 and ur good. Nurserys usualy got this stuff. Try to go with something organic. cuz it's harder to fuck it up. When it come to flowering time, simply switch to some nutes that're higher in 'p' and 'k' than in 'n' got it? Always willin to help when i can so lemme know wassup. Luck.
