I just use the count, so I wont obsess over Tric's too early... LOL ... as soon as I see hairs, I project 49 days out, and start checking for Tric's...then...
Otherwise I'll start counting at 35 days cause the buds are so beautiful, and I can't wait...

Well my two girls look great. My clones on the other hand not as good. Got 5 good from one plant and only 4 struggling ones from my supposedly purple erkle mysterious bag seed. The plant that cloned great was y last seed to germinate and always seemed a week behind and my best girl is having a harder time with cloning yet was am easy grower. I guess some genetics take to cloning better. I am new so surely 90% of failure is blamed on genetics and only 10% on me!!

You'll want to probably remove some inner branches and such to help promote air flow...you don't want bud rot
I'm gonna try to clone all the lower buds that are not getting any light. Hope that its ok to try and clone those sites even though they were flipped two weeks ago tom.

Also my space has good airflow and temps stay between 80 and 85 and my humidity stays around 50. My dark temp drops to around 58 so I'm hoping to avoid the dreaded rot. I have one fan blowing on them and one fan blowing up from the floor below them as well as the exhaust fan. Pics probably tom.

Yeah you can still clone, just takes a lil longer to root in flower. and its not just lower ones you should take, some interior center ones should be taken too...but if you have air coming from underneath, that shouldn't be a problem

The 8 weeks of the bloom cycle, is "Just an average"
What I have learned here at RIU...
When white hairs stop being produced, and all [or most] hairs receed into bud, and all Tric's are 90-95+% milky, 5+% are still clear [Tric's are being produced till the end], and a few are amber...
Now, that could be 56 days, or ???
If your plant was growing outside, the first day you would see hairs, you would count...
I don't start really checking for amber tric's until day 49....
My GF has been telling me, I see amber ones since day 35....
Hurry up and wait !
Nice reading your grow...
KEEP up the good work !!!

Just took 4 more clones off each girl. Got a question, one of my girls is very different looking. The branches that come out of each main stem are very long and each one only has two nodes at the end of those side branches. Every single one of them with only 2 nodes each, like twins. The main stems all have 3-5 nodes. So she has 6-8 main branches producing the larger flowers and probably 15-20 of these side 2 node only stems. Also I am not sure what caused her main stem to split into two main stdems. My question is will her clones do the same thing?? Should I expect the clone main stems to split during their veg and produce the two tops or will they grow normal and only react to how they are topped in the future. If I caused the split it was by a accident. Anybody care to guess?

I want to get 2-3 clones each plant. What do you think, clone once this week, once next week, veg 2 more weeks and then switch?? Why do folks switch so early, these lookike they could beg for another month. My space is small, 3x4x8. What do you think?
I think that when your very bushy plants get large enough you will need to remove some inner growth to fight off problems related to air circulation. When you decide that its time to remove that growth i would then take your clones because youll have lots to chose from. Id keep all the females going untill you harvest the first batch. And then go down to one or two of your favorite. IMPO

Any thoughts as to what's happening here?
Whats happening is that your plants are way too bushy inside. This is probably happening because theyre getting choked out. Your not going to get proper growth if everything is congested like they are. Youll get sagging leaves in the center, not enough light in there yellowing and killing leaves, no circulation. Powdery mildew. Your plants will be healthier if you prune a little in the center to get some air through. IMPO

Thank you for backing my suggestion ninja, i told him when he cloned he should take some inner growth too, but he says he has a fan blowing from underneath the plant throught the canopy...i still think he should air her out a little though

Ya, i read your post after i made mine, you can still have bushy plants that have air flow, most of the few branches on the very bottom wont produce more than a couple popcorn so i loose them and try to get the most air flow in there....somthing like this..image.jpg

Hmmm...don't know bro, where are the nodes located on the skinny branches?
They are at the end of each stem like normal about an inch apart. I just thought it was strange as they all have this long stem w zero growth until you get to the two flowering nodes at the tip. Will post some pics later.

I am down to two girls and have plenty of room for them. They have been flipped for 2 weeks today and I just don't have anything I can do with the xtra clones. I trim out a lot of fan leaves over the course of the grow and they seem to be getting plenty of airflow. My next try I am definitely gonna do more lst or even some type of sog.

I saw your pics and they look crowded in the center of the plants :) also, you can still do LST to them. They will open up for you. More light to the whole plant. You saw the picture i posted right, so you dont have to bonzai the girl, you can just drill a couple holes in your bucket and tie the branches out a bit. Trust me on the fact that theyre crowded and you should spread, deleaf the center, or scrog them. Otherwise you could find yourself with alot of popcorn and that is not what you want to see in 6 weeks. My plant in the pic should produce those trophy colas that every grower wants to see and not so much bottom popcorn :):) also, if you cant keep mother plants you will constantly be pating for seeds but what i find annoying is sexing plants. It doesnt sound like you sexed them properly so it would make your life easier. If you get a two light or a four light t5 you should be able to keep a couple mothers if you just prune them to keep them small. I know your plants are already flipped but for next time, and if you want to do sog youll need a good mother to take a constant supply of clones from. Take two every other week and youll eventually harvest every other week like clockwork.

Thanks ninja and everyone. My plan is to find a good mother but I am behind on getting a cloning/mother station. Making due with a rubbermaid and cfl right now. Your idea is what I'm hoping to do. Would you flower 4 bushy plants in the space rotating one every 2-3 weeks or stick with two big fat gals rotating 1 every 4 weeks?
