I need to know what products should I start out with for me first grow outdoors? I hear Foxfarm is good, but which one of the soils do I need to get? Also what other products would you suggest I buy to start with?

I've had good results with roots organic potting soil and fox farm ocean forest.
Been using ocean forest more recently, don't need much nutes at all. Right now I'm using age old grow and bloom and ca mg. I would cut the ocean forest with some perlite I did 1:3 perlite to soil.

Ocean forest is good for beginners. And age old has not failed me yet. Start light with nutes as I'm sure you've read already. Like maybe not feed until 3-4 week of veg growth.

What are you growing under?

Man... go to your local landscaping material supplier and have them deliver their grower's gold (premium top soil) and some mushroom compost. Fill your holes about 50/50 and mix it. They know exactly what you need. It will have a variety of things in it. Happy babies!

Haven't got that far yet. What do you recommend? I was thinking 250 hps in a 2x4 tent to start off then move it to a 2x2 for flowering?

VERY IMPORTANT. If you plan on growing less than 3 plants I recommend buying your nutrients either on eBay or HTG or whatever garden supply store in a smaller repackaged quantity.

For example I'm going to use 75 ml on average per plant of flora trio. I'll buy 4 oz of each flora trio bottle. 4 oz is roughly 113 ml.

Okay, but what are the heights of the tents? The Strains you plan to grow? 5-10 plants is FAR from small IMHO. I'm going 2x2x4 with ONE plant. That's small.
I've got five plants flowering in a 5x5 and it's gonna get crowded by the time they finish. If you've got the space, go with a bigger tent. I've read criticism of Apollo tents but I love mine and the price was right ($100 on Craigslist).
