1st "real" grow.. Advise from experienced ppl appreciated

As long as everyone is a medical marijuana card carrier I don't think there is a problem in Cali, can't speak to other states but we can be a real community of ganja smokers here. We can help each other out without fear of local prosecution, federal is another story but as long as you are small time and not making noise I doubt they would waste the time and resources fucking with you. You have to get out of NY bro, those Rockefeller drug laws are bullshit! I got pinched and fucked with because of them a while back.

Yea, y'all kno I'm "small time", & I already know the dangers that growing & selling will bring in my hood, so I opt to grow for personal reasons only.. Can't lie tho. I'm still scared of what happens if I were to get caught. I gotta move to a legal state.. This is b.s.!! & as far as u getting fuked over by the police out here.. I'm not surprised, they go pretty hard out here. I just hope u didn't get in too much trouble, now u all understand y I want to move to Cali?? Lol or any place legal pretty much.

They didn't fuck me too bad but it definitely made me not want to grow in NY anymore. I am still loving Cali and my legal grow. You can make the move one day or maybe NY will change its laws.
 
yea weed should be legal in NY soon I heard they got dispensaries in New Jersey and you can get a medical license from another state and bring it here because even tho its legal in cali by state law its still illegal everywhere by federal law.
 
Yea.. I hope it will be Legal one day, but I don't think it's really on our politicians "to do list" , so idk if that's going to happen anytime soon. And even though nearby states are going legal, it's still pretty strict and almost impossible to get a medical mj card, and believe it or not a lot of ppl here don't even kno that states nearby are legal.. Smokers in general in ny don't kno the laws and politics to what's going on concerning mj.. You have to be an extreme pot head such as myself.. But most ppl here just smoke.. Don't grow.. Don't kno the laws.. Just smoke, not that anythings wrong with that but I'm a little more into my mj.

Now I'm gonna post some pics.. I'm 2 weeks into flower

In my opinion yes.. But unfortunately I'm not really the best person to ask. I have never grown with a regular pot, so I have nothing to compare it to. My only other successful grow was in an aerogarden.. Sorry I couldn't be a little more helpful, but they are not that expensive. 4-5 dollars for the 1 gallon air pot, & I think I paid 6 or 7 bucks for the 3 gallon air pot, so at the very least they are worth a shot.

lmao. if it is ur looking at a 13 or 14 week flower. i hate growing pure sativas. they take way to long to flower. i will only grow them if my lights dont stop running in between harvests. i just cant justify running the 1000 for one plant. to much cost in elec. would be different if i had a full 1000 of sativas but who really wants to get stuck smoking a sativa all the time? i like the mix up a bit.

That's all fine and dandy for a grow room but when you are growing in a tent like me you are limited to keeping similar strains in order to maintain a uniform canopy and work within your height restrictions. I am planning on trying some LST techniques and FIMing in order to grow some Sativa in my tent. I want a shorter, bushier Sativa so I don't really know any other way to get that besides the aforementioned techniques.

Blue Dream is the next contestant, come on down to the Strain is Right! <-- hack Price is Right joke, I know but I am really thinking about doing Blue Dream for my next grow and then going back to Pineapple Kush. I would stick with Pineapple Kush but the clones won't be ready for a month or so because we recently started some new moms.

Damn that sucks bcuz I'm quickly running out of vertical space.. I really don't wanna bend, & I kno it's way too late to top. I'm 2 weeks into flower & I expected the plant to stop growing around now. But I just raised the light last night & the plant grew up right next to it in that same night.. This plant can't get too much bigger or it will be a problem.. Is it going to keep growing?? It already started budding.. & if it is going to grow, what should I do?? I'm not exactly sure , cuz I didn't measure & my light is off right now so I can't check.. But I think it could grow another 4-5 inches, but def no more.. I can raise the light 1 more time b4 it hits the ceiling.
 
And I haven't measured my plants in about a week (can't find measuring stick) but I estimate my cotton candy is about 4 feet from the top of the pot, & about a 5 feet from the ground.

I've been thinking about my next grow too.. But when I go to the attitude I'm like a kid in a candy store, I don't know what to pic.. I def don't think I wanna grow any sativas.. Maybe a few autoflowers.. But I hear a lot of bad reviews on autos.. I wanna try some more "name-brand" strains , like OG kush, trainwreck, pinapple express, headband,purple haze.. & I've seen some YouTube videos with tangerine dream & it looks ridiculous!!! I really like it. Although it is a sativa. I also would like to try sour diesel but I've heard the only real sour Seidel is available in clone form (I think Chickipollo from YouTube) but how true is that?? And I kno this is a sativa as well but for some of these strains I'm willing to risk it, but preferably I'd like to grow indicas.. I also see my boy northweststunner on YouTube and he almost always grows big bud-white widow crosses.. & I like that because my white widow plant is on the smaller side,so I'm guessing that that cross is to get the yield of the big bud with the potency of the white widow.
