Hey Triclone Fiend,

I wanted to buy an ez cloner but they dont sell them in Australia.
I was going to buy it on ebay but they cant give you a delivery time estimate and can not arrange insureance.

So i asked the guy at my hydro store and he built me a bubble cloner.
I know im stupid, i should of built it my self.
I thought that he would do allot btter than i would although in the end i wasnt really happy witht the quality of the cloner.

Im still thinking i might take the risk and by the ez-cloner on ebay......

Im going to take some cutting in a few days, I will see how i go this time and decide.

...yeah, the first time I went and asked my smaller local hydro store about an ezcloner, the owner kind'a laughed. He said, "just make your own." I had no idea where to start since, at the time I was an all organic grower, the talk of aero spinners and foam pucks spooked me. I went to a larger more commercial store and bought a knock off, ezcloner look alike with 80 sites for $240....once I open the box and seen all the parts I felt raped. My brother turned around and made several of them for just under $40 bucks each. Needless to say, I'll never buy any aero setups from a hydro store again....they are simple as hell once you get the idea of the system. Watch this video, one important thing I've learned with building your own BE SURE TO GET THE 360 DEGREE SPINNERS!...and don't go cheap with the thin pucks, they suck, GET THE THICK PUCKS ( they last forever!). Be sure to get RUBBERNECK namebrand of toat box...these fuckers are the only ones I've found that do not leak....and last but not least, use one of your sites to run your cords through unstead of under the lid to prevent any leaking.

Hey Tri

Theres no "rubberneck" down under.
The system above is the "aero cloner" , the one that i have is the "bubble cloner".
I cant even buy the neoprene pucks anywhere down here.
There a place called clark rubber and they have only really thin neoprene rolls avaiable and you have to buy about $150 worth at a time.
The EZ Clone sprayers i havent seen in any shops down here either.

Why did you buy the ez cloner if you had the 80 site knock off and the others you had built cheaply?
Is it that much better?

Any tips with the bubble cloner ( from your past experience) ?

...I bought the knock off ezcloner first, and never bought another one, we started making them. If you view my pics, you'll see that my ezcloner isn't the real "ezcloner"...although, it works exactly the same. (it even leaks, hahaha)
...sorry man, I'm out of ideas for ya. Sounds like your going to be better off just buy'n one. Once you do get one, any clone issues will be in the past.

Hey Tri

I was just going over your thread again and noticed you put them in cups like i have temporarily.....
Did you dril drainage wholes at the bottom?
...yeap, I love the party cups, and you want good drainage forsure. No holes will keep the lower part of your pot wet while the upper 1/2 is bone dry. I personally use a razor knife and cut diamond shapes around the bottom edges, that way no water gets a chance to settle along the bottom and turn your soil into mush. You want alot of drainage holes, the better you can get your soil to dry evenly the better root system you'll have.

Hey Tri

Big Bud is looking really good......
Can wait till i have some of my own BB.

Do you take all your pics with the HPS lights off?
My pictures have lines through them from the HPS and i dont mess with them when lights are off......
Whats the trick?

...yeap, I turn all the lights off to take pics...your goin to enjoy the BB
Isnt that really bad for the plants to have there light pattern disrupted?
I thought that was a massive problem.
If you have Feminised seeds and you do something like that i have heard that it is likely they become hermies......
Do you turn them off and then take pics and just turn them back on?

I take pics about 2-3 minutes before the lights come on actually. It is important to let your babbies get the long hours of darkness, however, I have a pretty good video with Tim Felgar in it, saying how he raises the hours of light to 13-14 hours during the last 2-3 weeks of flowering to bump up the thc levels. You can flower using upto 14 hours of light throughout the whole flowering process if you choose, but most like to save the electric. Check out 1:20 into this video.

...I finished harvest'n last night, thought I'd give a grow report on my new strains.

Afghan Kush = made big buds, good sog strain w/ little - no side shoot growth ( dominate single cola ) smells fruity.
Blue Cheese = show stopper! Dank! Smells of blueberry, fair yielder, bushes out a bit but very short/stout plant...probably the stickiest of all 5 strains, definate keeper!
NLxBB = not impressed. Smells of pepper. Another single cola dominate strain, low yielder.
NLxSk#1 = made big buds, smells of fruit and skunk, short/stout plant.
Pure Power= grew very, very fast! Smells a bit like cat piss, good yielder.. Branched out alot also with many side shoots (looks to be a good LST strain)

...I will give a smoke report once they're dry.

...this round I flowered for 49 days.
...I flush, yes. I drain my res. refill with clearex, flood for 1 hour, drain again, refill with sweet. I flush for 2 weeks.
...I hang dry for 4 days (no fans, no dehumidifer), then place into mason jars and leave the lid on for 24 hours. I then remove the lid for 12-24 hours...it's now ready to smoke/cure.
...to cure, simply leave in mason jars w/ lid on. Open lid once daily to "burb" them. That's it.
