Currently I have one plant under two 26 watt and two 42 watt CFL's. Eventually will flower with a 600 watt HPS. This seedling is 6 days old and I started noticing some leaf damage to one of the first set of leaves. My question was does anyone know what this problem is? could it be my lights are too close?

Here is my specifications:
average temp: 80 f
Ph: 5.8-6.0
PPM: 250-300
one box fan blowing air around
Humidity: is average around 40-50

Put a tiny tiny bit of nutes in at less then quarter strength when transplated to bigger piece of rockwool. Did that yesterday because there was roots showing at the bottom in the smaller RW.

Here are the pictures of the plant and my setup Let me know what you think!

leaf damage can be from overfeeding, Its not from the light being to close. typically hydro plants get regular water for the start until they show signs of needing a feeding. Did you treat your RW with PH balanced water prior to using them?

drop the nutes for the next week and just feed it water...and when you give it nutes in another week start at 100ppm and slowly adjust the ppm up as needed to not burn things...within a couple weeks you should be up to 600-700 about a week into veg after the seedling stage.

ph to hi. drop to 5.5.
also hydro is feed feed feed always. not like soil where we water feed water feed. there is no medium to hold food nor buffer . the tips that show slight burn are because its hungry. why is it hungruy can be alot of reasons bu hi Ph and water with hydro could both be the why
try for 60% humidity. i think your food level at 250 to 300 is fine. hydro can take higher ec than in soil and my 3 week seeds in soil started at 500 tds and then right to 800 ever since. last night i recieved a new batch of fresh rooted cuts and fed at 500 then ill bump that to 700 or 800 as well.

im sure some wont agree with me but this is my way, not theirs and have been just fine for me

To BBYY I did, soaked them in Ph water of 5.5.

And thanks for your help, I'll drop the nutes for now and try plain tap water...Thanks again guys

Well I thought usually in hydro you are not supposed to give nutes for the first 2 weeks or so, It was showing roots on the bottom of the RW so I only gave it a very dilluted amount. My seedling is only 7 days old keep in mind.

plant needs food from birth as all living things do. in soil or other medium there is food or a medium to hold and buffer foods. hydro has none of this. this is why they grow faster as food is more direct and avail always to the root system. there is slight food in the seed for a couple days to get it started but then it need to eat soon. for me id be using some sort of food. couple hundred tds is minor amounts of food....7 days old now is probably running out of its own supply now.
