Grow Setup and Sprouts

I've been shuffling a few things around so you'll see some minor changes as we go along. I got the plants mixed up when they were babies, so I'm not exactly sure which one is which, lol

I originally tried to transplant 2 sick plants from soil, but it didn't work, so I scrapped them and started over the right way.

Week 1 - Veg

I finally got the environment going right. Added a Strawberry Cough (lower left) late in the game, just to see if it will catch up.

Week 2 - Veg

This is where the growth really started to kick in. The difference between week 1 and week 2 is quite amazing.

I am also adding a few pictures of my PH/EC/TDS/Temp Meter, just for kicks.

Week 3 pictures will be posted on Friday. Stay tuned to be amazed :D

Week 3 - Veg

Here are the latest updates. The plants are rapidly growing now, even moreso than last week. I decided to switch them to 12/12 and HPS lights a few days ago. They are still Veging, and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks, so I'm staying with Veg Ferts for now. They are starting to stretch, which is good, to a degree.

Due to the Orange spectrum of the HPS lights, the picture quality was poor. So I had to temporarily turn off the lights while I took these pictures. The picture quality is better, but not as good as it could be.

Some of the shots look like there are discolorations on a few of the leaves, but there aren't for the most part. It is just poor camera lighting, and the angle of the camera. In person these plants are looking extremely healthy.

It is amazing how fast and healthy these plants are growing compared to my last couple of soil grow attempts, and I'm only using a maximum of 50% Fert Strength. :D

Strawberry Cough is not going to make it. I yanked it a couple of hours after I took the picture

Thanks for tuning in, next update in a week.

Hey DBO, you are not kidding about the Kelp. Early on my plants leaves looked a slight pale yellow, and a bit sickly. I spoke with a guy who claims to be a Professional grower and he said, dude, don't kill your plants with standard ferts, give them Norwegian Seaweed. So I did, and within about an hour or so of feeding them, the leaves all turned a beautiful dark green. I couldn't believe it.

I don't know what's in that stuff but it sure did the trick, lol

Bad news folks, all of my plants went Male two days after my last post, and I had to yank them. Arrrggghhh!

Will try again in a few weeks using Feminized seeds.

Mods, please archive this grow journal.

Man, what a pain, lol
