1st Grow

Greetings fellow growers and tokers. New to this forum and growing. Just giving a shout out and sharing my progress thus far. Currently at day 21, growing from seed. Started with 10, 5 Misty Cush and 5 Jack Herer. 9 of the 10 seeds germinated, and lost 1 plant during seedlingView attachment 4102142 View attachment 4102142 20180307_111621.jpg stage, 8 plants left thriving. Self made grow box- 6x3x8, 2- 1000w off brand full spec LED's (each pulling 300 tru watts from wall) + CFL's for added blue spec. Growing medium is a self made blend that consists of top soil, mushroom compost, crushed oyster shells, Ash charcoal , perlite. Soil PH sits at 6.2 and I haven't introduced any additional nutrients yet. Would love to hear from others. Any suggestions from experienced grows always welcome. Cheers!

Intro those nutes slowly! Pretty plants! How long you vegging, eight plants will want some room!
Heard on the nutes! I'm im the process of finishing my basement. I'm building a larger space to grow, 16x5x8. With this much space I will likely veg for optimal yield. Since there is no exact science to this, I will likely let the plants decide! 60 days or so?

Plants look good!
Apparently they are liking the soil you built.
Let 'em ride until they tell you they're hungry.
I have a hunch it could be a while.

Been a while since I've been on. Updated photos, 15 days since I switched them to 12/12 light schedule. 6 of the 8 plants were ladies and doing well. Started feeding Advanced Nutrients about 10 days ago. Nothing but H2O up until that point. They've been topped once, super cropped and did a final pruning today. Time to let them eat and ride out. I have to say, I'm very much enjoying the process of growing and caring for my plants!
