Hey this is my first post, this is my first grow i understand ill probably annoy alot of people with some questions but knowledge is to be shared ha..

Basically im just here for advice..

Im growing in a small area ive got a space of:-

W-60
D-60
H-120

Hoping to get 2 plants in there ive got Vanilla Kush seeds and Pineapple Chunk, choose theese strains due to the high thc and quick flowering time the VK only grows to around 60cm so i thought it would be ideal. Ill be growing the plants then cutting them down and harvesting but taking cuttings for a screen of green for my next cycle.

As for my set up its a bud box i made from woods mylar lined 4 fans 2 intake 2 out ..
Im going to be doing a dwc grow ive got a standard 2 way fish pump and 2 6 inch air stones

As for lights, ive got a 250 watt hps but after a trial in the space its too hot so im curious to see how many cfls would be needed to produce somewhere close to the number of lumens the hps creates. I was thinking 2 x 300 watt cfls In blue spectrum for veg and 2 for flowering. Am i coming anywhere close the lumen output of the hps ?

Any comments are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

i would get like 4 42watt cfls for each the 6500k and 2700k spectrums

and i would just do one plant at a time if i were u and just do LST to make it wide so it can get all the light itself and get mass buds

Hmm any advantage of the smaller cfls over the giant ones ? all ive bin able to come up with is that it just takes more wiring ?

you can arange them around the perimeter and one in the middle so your plants get hit from all sides really well, i dont know man its up to you its just what i like to do
i think it might be cheaper to go with the smaller bulbs too

let me know what you come up with cause im growing one plant and gonna be using CFLs. Spose I could build a box like yours and see where it goes. :)

Give it ago its not to hard to make a budbox pal .. erm still not sure on equal lumen output in cfls but ive got a rough idea so all things are ready to go now :)

i think you would only need about 150 watts per plant indoors but more light = bigger yield! if costs dont matter then you should definitely go for maximum potential! cant wait to see what comes out of this

Im thinking 600watts per spectrum .. money not that bad ive got a couple hundred to blow :) .. was also thinking of placing the hps in for the last 3 weeks.
