Hi Guys Thought it was about time that i shared some pics of what im up to. These are some pics of my first proper attempt at growing. Im using a clay pebble and cocos mix as growing medium and Ionic Nutes (grow, bloom and boost) and also Hesi super vits with amino acids. My Cabinet is 1.2m deep by 800mm wide by 2.5m tall. Im running a 400w HPS with a 4" fan and filter and a 9" oscillating desk fan on the floor and a 4" axial fan blowing air across the top of the canopy which is allowing me to keep the lamp quite close (about 11" to 12" away) without any burning problems.

These first 2 pics are about 2 weeks from seed being nurtured by the sun while i finished the cabinet. I had them on a wick feed system at the time feeding them half strength nutes.

The next pics (sorry if the quality is crap using my phone to take these) are after 3 weeks under the HPS.

The next are 4 weeks into veg after some heavy pruning of some quite big fan leaves. Mainly done to clear a light path to above what are the growing tips. Preparing to put them into 12/12. Good idea or not????

The next 2 taken today directly after the light went out are 3 days into 12/12 which would make it 5 days since the last pics. I wanted to give them a cpl of days rest after the pruning before i switched them over.

The young lady that has the more Sativa look about her is a Feminised Cheese grown from seed and the Indica looking sister is Bagseed which is more and more showing signs of being a girl every day, also grown from seed.

Any comments, remarks or tips would be greatly appreciated. Like i said its my first proper grow and im just trying to get it right.

Cant wait to see these babies flowering properly.

Take care, Be safe, Have fun!

Don't trim fan leaves! Otherwise things look good. Your overall yield WILL suffer from the loss of the leaves you already trimmed. Do not do that anymore.

Cheers guys like i said first time trying to do it properly.

Another question i have is should i leave my circulation fans on when my light is off?

I know i need to leave my filter fan running to cope with odors from my girls, but what about the circulation fans. Am i right in thinking that it may cool it down to much in the cabinet if i leave them running through the dark period?????? :?:

it may..you will have to keep track of the temp with the fan on...if it gets below 65 with it on...I would say turn it off. You goal will be to keep it around 70 to 75 when lights are on and 60 to 70 when lights are off.
