1st grow, SCOTTYBALL inspired CFW, 2x4, 600 watt cooltube, G13 Pineapple Express

Hello everyone this is my first grow and obviously first grow journal, i plan on keeping up from seed to harvest, unless i mess up (knock on wood)

I started germinating on saturday, waited 48 hours then put the seed in the waterfarm just a little bit ago actually. I have yet to convert my waterfarm to ebb and flow with waterpump, but i can wait a while atleast for that, I have a upgraded airpump still.I will be giving it half and half tap water and distilled ph'd. My tap water has a EC PPM rating of 430 and 7.5 PH, as for now i give it pure distilled. I will be using Flora Nova Bloom as my nutrient, since i have it though i may add 20 ppms or some small amount of FloraMicro when i start feeding it just to do it.

*note i will be updating with pictures and what not but only with a 8mp cell camera

Looking healthy and green, one of the pre-leaves has a black spot on the tip from the seed shell i think it'll be fine, otherwise i think its on track

I think there was a little stretch since im running lights at %50 but i moved the plant closer now. i hope it wont slow it down. will be able to go full power with lights mon-tues

Little seedlings dont need full power light. You can actually kill a seedling with a 600 watt light. i kno this bc ive done it. Good luck with your grow. I got g13 pineapple express goin right now too. And that scottyballs thread was sick.

Thanks for the post and thanks im still not too sure how much is the right amount, i'll just keep an eye on it. and nice your grow is looking good

the light is about 18" away from the top, 600 watt HPS at 50%, is that too close?

Im on my first grow too and your about 2 days ahead, ill definitely subscribe and follow your progress in your hydro

Will you only be growing one big plant or?

Awesome thanks that makes the journal thing more worth while, i'll defenitly be keeping up with your DWC grow too now i that i know about it, and yes i will be trying to utilize 90+% of my grow room with a single plant optimally.

Get some breeze blowing on the plant and that will help strengthen the stem.

in this photo i wanted to know if there is any bad growth on those nodes because there looks to be little stubs sticking from them? it seems to be a slower bloomer but it could have more optimal conditions, my humidity hovers around 20%

Looks to be growing at a good rate to me.

Yeah i should be thankful for what it is, instead of what i want it to be haha. pretty much goes for everything

Definitely, I'm a bit jealous of the size of your PE, how many days has it been since you planted it? Mines at about 9 days since i put them in rockwool and going slower than yours.. perhaps. But as long as they are healthy I shouldnt complain.

I also can't check PPM value right now im still waiting for the meter to arrive. So I'm taking it real easy with the nutes.

On the last pic i believe it was day 13, so yours were definetly just younger i think, and yeah i defenitly took it easy with the nutes, now im putting more

Nice your plant is lookin way better then mine lol its 9 days fron seed rite now i think

This is day 16 from seed:
Growth starting to take off abit more i think, i am pleased. i am getting some Ca/Mg here in a few days to go a long with it

PPM: 400
PH:6.5 right now, probably will be back up to 7.1 or so in the morning

Looks great! Here was my Malawi at 16 days from seed. I tried to kill it with too much light and pH 8 water!

Thanks Mo! thank goodness my patience is getting a little better i can get my mind of it now haha, first time growing anything. And i really appreciate the photo comparison i feel really lucky i haven't had a problem yet (knocks on all the wood)
