1st Grow Questions - 80x80x160cm Dark Room with 600w?

Hey everyone,

New to the forum; this is my first post, and i am planning my very first grow now twisted, and need some help deciding a few factors... any help would be much appreciated.

I am perfectly willing to invest large amounts on the setup, as will not have time to build cab. I have several choices to makes, and they are as follows;

400 or 600w Grolux Dual Spectrum? Either way i will be purchasing a Cooltube with a strong ruck extraction fan to extract and possibly another lower powered one for intake.

Will most likely to be growing 3/4/5 plants in Dark Room 80 size tent (80x80x160cm).

Was wondering whether the 600w is too ambitious for the smaller tent; will it be completely impossible to regulate temps? If it is possible i would prefer the 600 as i have a plant limit and want to get as high yields as is possible from the plants.

Do you guys feel this is overkill? My understanding is that the plants will love the huge amount of light in the small space, and that if i can manage good extraction, you can never have too much light, but obviously it's my first grow, i could be horrifically wrong.

Dude i recon the 600w light is perfect if you if can afford it.. it pushes out allot more lumens than the 40ow and as you said, the more light the bigger the bud..
just remember you are gong to create a shit load of heat, so good ventilation is just as important.. you could even try keeping the ballast outside the grow tent, should help allot..

That's excellent, what do people thing i will need in terms of extraction? 5" Ruck do the trick ? That one will be extracting 365m3/hour. Will i need an intake fan as well ? ( I intend to have several small fans inside the tent pointed in various directions )

Dude the faster you can get the hot air out the cooler it will get.. keep the temps between 22c & 28c (dunno about Fahrenheit) if it gets hotter than 30c you need more extraction get theat 5" exhaust, and see what happens. should do the trick.... inlet is also advised but not as much as exhaust.. just check the temps, and regulate accordingly..

Will a Soler & Palau TD350 (Airflow: 350m3/hr, Outlet: 125mm) be enough when pulled through the tube to extract my space and cool the 600w Grolux light do you think?
