1st Grow Pic and a sex Q

Hi,

Here is a pic of my first grow. The strain is Northern Lights and I started it from a seed which first poked it's little green head from the soil 37 days ago. I've got it under a 150W equivalent CFL warm light bulb 16 hours a day (16/8.

From what I've read, you can't determine the sex until after it goes into the flowering stage which I haven't started yet. However, the plant looks different on the top now. Is this normal? Is it showing it's sex?

thats is a bonafied male.. even though it looks like there might be a hair sticking out too... but its a dude, hope that wasnt your only plant... thats weird that its showing after only 37 days and under 18/6

No, but I only got one other one. The other one actually looks bigger and stronger, but it's about 10 days younger. So, the male one. I guess I just pull it and chop it up and flush it at this point?

if it came from good seeds, might want to take a few pollen sacks to polinate a branch of the plant that is hopfuly a girl. but other than that its pretty much usless

I've got a theory as to what happened. A big storm came through this area over the last few days. I think the power went out while I was at work and it managed to get a long period of darkness. Now I'm gonna take pics of my other plant. if I'm not mistaken, it's a female...right after I perform the eulogy for the Mr.

I was due to water tonight anyway, so I'll mix some light nutes in there as well.

Next question, now that it shows sign of sex do I have to go 12/12 or can I leave it on 18/6 for a while and let it get bigger?

looks like I see two white hairs in the 1st n second pic
you can leave it in 12/12 but this is said to be the best time to put her into flowering.
I'd veg her longer, and take clones!!! never takne clones before? no problem its easy as cake, look in the grow FAQ and youll be a pro in no time

Good idea. I'll take a clone from her and use it in the pot that was previously used by the male. I did NOT have it on 12/12. I had it on 18/6, but suspect I lost the power (probably friday) and it was dark long enough to start the flowering process. So, can I leave it at 18/6 for a while now that it's showing sex?
