What do you think you will yield with hose leds I have heard both good and bad about them.

How is it going with overflows? .I saw this stuff made by Sure To Grow. The medium looks like the fix to hydroton problem.

probably not as much as I had hoped but not going to blame it on the LEDs. I had some serious problems with the cab early on and vegged way too long both of which are going to impact the final yield. However, I am going to increase the amount of light next grow...IMO 2 90w lights are not enough especially during flowering.

Since I reconfigured the system to 6 pots vs 8 it's been working great. I disagree with Sunlight Sheds assessment of the overflow problem being a combination of hydroton pellets & root mass. IMO the overflow problem is due to poor design...8 pots just doesn't work.

No biggie though as I don't think the cab is large enough for 8 plants anyways.

Todays stats:
30 inches height
75/48 temp/humid
1500 ppm
5.9ph

Plants continue to bud but it's going very sloooooow. Don't think the two 90 watt LED create enough light. Gonna add one more 90 watt for the next grow and install LED panels on the sides & top of the cab.

Have a baked day bongsmilie

I would add the extra light THIS grow if you can muster it. Maybe some supplemental CFL's even just hanging from the cords. You could still see some benefit.. a little more bulk before you harvest..

Added a 68 watt CFL (300 watt equivalent) today to help the girls with the final push to the finish line. Plus rep for the suggestion tendran bongsmilie

Lookin good! Another nice thing about the free hanging CFL's in an LED grow is it makes it easier to spot plant deficiencies and such without pulling the plants out or turning the lights off. I just picked up a pair of IR5 welder's goggles for working in the cab, because I felt like it was degrading my eye sight a little and sunglasses didn't seem to offer full protection from all angles. You might want to consider that if you haven't already, if when you come out of your grow you have trouble seeing normally right away. I got some cool looking ones that can double as a Halloween costume as well.. But they have all sorts of cheap pairs on Amazon. I think I',m going to start recommending this to all LED growers I come across.

Day 100
Day 71 flowering

Plants still going strong. Additional LEDs arrived so I'm going to be set for the next grow. In addition to adding 2 more 90w UFO leds I'm going to install flat panel LEDs on the sides and top of the cab. This way even if the plants grow past the 90w UFOs there will always be a light source above them.

The CFLs have worked well but it was getting too hot with the cab doors closed during the daytime. Been leaving them open the past week during the day with a fan on.

Today's stats
30 inches in height
80-90 day temp
70-80 night
45-50 humidity
5.5-6.4 ph
1300-1400 ppm

look like things went pretty well for you. I am looking at the hydro heart system for my cab. I have more a homemade rig but about the same as yours over all. I went with hydro grow LED system. I have one 63 and looking to go to a 205 later. http://www.hydrogrowled.com/LED-Grow-Lights-W42.aspx

It sounds like you are pretty happy with you HH system minus a few problems overall. any advice you have to pass on would be good. I am not 100% sold after reading your thread but still think it is something to think about. Are you still using your smaller cab or did you go larger?
