ok ya'll in the first pic just look in the middle of the pic and you can see the 2 little hairs. weeee and i have seen others coming out all over her.

i did lst this am and she is already reaching up as you can tell by the picks.

the last pic, (this is so funny) I got some liquid root stuff for cloning and mixed it per the instructions on the bottle. i took an AG pod, cut the sponge in half, put tooth picks in the sponge to suspend the pod in the party cup in the rooting hormone solution. (i hope the cutting does not die lol) and stuck a cutting in the sponge. hopefully if things go as planned, then after she gets some roots, then i can just put the pod right into the AG.

do you think its going to work?:weed:

here are some ready to go ballast that would run your bulbs http://www.greenelectricalsupply.com/150-watt-quad-tap-hps-ballast.aspx

HPS Ballast Cross Reference:
Advance Ballast 71A8172-001D
Sylvania Ballast LU150/MULTI-KIT
Keystone HPS-150X-Q
Venture V90D1435K
Sola E-SZA00W150
i'm not exactly sure how it works or how you put it together, or whatnot. i bought a 600w dual ballast with bulbs and reflector off ebay for about $190. but you definitely wouldn't need that maybe a 400 watt would be too much but that might work. here is one on ebay made by the same folks that made mine

edit: ps the pics are great do you have any top shots, i love top shots, LOL. anyways i do believe the suspended clone will do just fine like it is. and i really like the tight internodes on pic 2. and check the branches on pic 1, each branch like that will be a bud. try to get a good shot of all the internodes on a full branch. i am taking pics of the plant i am about to harvest within the next week. i will have them in my album on my profile under show all statistics, if you wanna check em out.

heey! sorry been busy. lol but i run a 400watt sylvania hps grow light with a Lumatek Ballast which supports mh too. so i use the mh bulb for veg. i grow 3 soil plants at a time and it works great. its all in a small closet and dont even need venilation or cool tube. i can keep my 400watt about 1 foot away. but in your case i would have gone with a 250 watt but 150 is ok. alot better than cfl's. your girls would love it lol i would buy a new ballast instead of a build. its so worth it. i hope to post tommorrow with pics to give u an idea. their sleepin right now
if you have a locaal hydro store i would buy a reflective hood and light fixture for cheap. and provide lots of information lol i bought myself a 600 page marijuana horticulture bible lol its got literally. Everything with over 1000 detail pictures :) lol

hey ya'll. today i went ahead and lined the rest of my cab with mylar so she is getting plenty of light.

I am going to weight until my next grow to use the high end lights and stuff.

my clone is doing good. the two bottom leaves are all droopy and will probably die but the center part is rockin. no roots yet. how long does it usually take roots to develop on a clone?

my lst is working very well, enjoy the pics.

she seems to really be growing super fast now and the roots are just exploding!

lol i know how it is. i waited forever to get hps. but those pics are awsome! i love your plant... also to answere your question. it takes clones 4-5 days to begin rooting. cell division starts at day 6. a good methed for faster stronger roots is to "splice" the end of a clone (bottom of the stem) in half with a sharp razor about 1cm or less. try it next time :)

good to know, and you know I should have known that. I am an avid green thumb with my outside garden and house plants. I have been cloning my house plants for years without even knowing that I was indeed "cloning" hahaha. and all i did then was cut, splice, put in a cup of water and set in a sunny window.

super bloom by green light, i have the power kind and it did the trick. a 2 week into flowering clone can take up to a week and a half. within this time the plant is using the stored energy within the bottom leaves to produce roots, some yellowing is to be expected, next time try to take a clone that has at least 3 or 4 sets of fan leaves, cut the bottom two fan leaves off, leave the top 4 or 6 fan leaves and the little top of the plant which will soon b 2 more fan leaves. cutting the two bottom fan leaves off will give you a little play room on how far into the reservoir/water you want that stem to go. and you can give the stem several skin deep slices right above the 45 degree angle to have more area exposed to the water and that means more roots. by the way that is definitely a little itty bitty nug that is popping out on pic 5, i c it, definitely female. :-) congratulations.

How could you possibly say that? I mean no disrespect what so ever, just curious... Cuz I didn't see any pre flowers... maybe you did??? I HOPE, I really do, that it's a female... But there's just no way to tell right now! I had a GORGEOUS plant, and I coulda sworn it was a female..... Then I started to flower and little polen sac's popped out... SO disapointing!.. I have cannabutter now at least...

Personally, I would just wait to see a little sign of pre-flowers. THEN clone the bitch! I just think it'd be to disapointing to clone her, end up with great roots, the clones are looking awesome, then the plant turns out to be male... :o That's just my $0.02 anyways. It's really your decision. Clone now if you'd like to. I would just be heart broken if I had to end up throwing away 3-4 clones...

P.S. I PRAY that doesn't happen to you.
and i must say........ i tooolllddd you soooooo,,, i'd say you got a crooked eye, her plant looked almost identical to the way my jazzy girl did. and when she hit puberty you could just tell that it was a she. hint, males usually have very long lower branches with less fan leaf internodes, and high branches with very very little internodes. and females are basically proportional/symetrical throughout the veg stage. there are ways to spot males before flowering, you just got to veg them long enough to get a real good look at the branches., the more internodes you have on the higher branches and the more closely packed they are together, the more likely to b female. also the more fan leaf internodes you have, means more bud sites and more buds.

rock on man, thanks a ton! this is all a learning experience so the next grow should be even better.

All males dont show the same characteristic's, there isnt any real factors into telling whether there male or female besides the point of males showing first when switching to 12/12

even if it did turn out to be a male, i would not trash it. i would turn it into hash. when the world gives you lemons, make lemon aid.

Oh ok, so is this a for sure, fool proof way of telling sex BEFORE any pre flowers or anything? So if I were to throw up a few pix of some of my plants BEFORE any signs of sex, you would be able to tell me which have turned out male and which have turned out female?.. Sorry bro, but step down off your high horse. Granted you know alot about growing! More than me for damn sure! But I'm gonna have to go with SICC on this one.
