1st grow- Indoor CFL's

Just turn the lights to 12/12. That will do the trick. The plant in the first picture looks like a lady!

Hey whats up I see that they came back from near death lookin good, From what i can see the first pic with the two white hairs sticking out is a definite girl. Pic 2 looks like a dude but keep it alive until it matures some more so you can be sure. Pic 3 looks like a girl aswell i can see those beautiful white hairs again. Pic 4 i dont know cant really tell. (this is for post number 139) and yes you are looking at the right place.

SWEET!! I must've been born with a green thumb or something. Haha. I'll check on them later today when they're "awake" and take some more pics. Maybe get one of each plant and label them (especially for my own reference).

Thanks man. I'm definitely going to need to work on the patience. Now that they're flowering and female my only worries now are keeping them alive and keeping them secret. The smell is going to increase and it's already pretty strong.

Here are my 5 big plants, 4 of which appear female. The 5th is tough to tell but I'll let you know. I guess some/all could hermie but I'll just hope and pray that doesn't happen.

yeah man those plants are becoming real beauts i gotta say and go from 18/6 to 12/12 don't do 13/11 or anything else cause that may cause stress to the plant making it a forced hermie but there lookin real nice and i'd say in about a week maybe less if you haven't noticed already there will be either balls or pistils AS SOON AS you see balls chuck em you don't want to lower the thc on your females you could also keep them (far away from your females) and make hash outta the males but yeah i'm taking pix now of my LST so next post is my one baby

EDIT: THESE PIX WERE ALSO TAKIN FROM A CAMERA PHONE so there not that good AND 2 magnifying glasses taped together haha (ghetto mag gotta love it)

so you can't really see any trichomes cause of the phone but when i hold the mag close the trichomes are doing quite well

and scratch when i said wait a while and you'll see males or females lol i just noticed you have already found out haha but also the dutch method is a fun one that was what i did for my very first grow and it came out to be almost 3 ft tall (12/12 from seed) vegged for almost 2 months

Wish I would've known that. My buddy that I was sure was an expert is starting to lose his cred after I read through stuff online. Sure he's growing plants but they could probably 10x better if he just did research and experiments.

I want to try to LST these but I have nothing to tie them to. I have some adhesive hooks I might put on the side of the pots to see if I can do it that way but I don't think they'll hold.

yeah i did so much research before even starting my first grow and even before this grow i did a little research to see if i could find anything new or to see if i could make it better then my last grow and what i was doing wrong and all that fun stuff but i LOVE reading about weed and what's new with it



and yeah i just used safety pins through my garbage bin (i cut holes in the bottom)



yeah dutch method is 12/12 from seed go to the search and type in dutch method sorry didn't mean veg it was flowering for 2 months and got 3 ft tall then my dad found it and threw it away no it showed sex (3 females 1 male) it just wasn't that strong of a grow


and with your friend with couchlock i love getting couchlock after a long day of work other then that i just smoke a hit or 2 and play wii or what ever else i can

Well guys I hate to say it but my Grow Show is over. It's a personal choice that I had to make. I don't feel right hiding this from my friends/girlfriend any longer so I'm just calling it quits. I'll grow again in the future once I feel more established and legal. My biggest fear is hurting those around me. For example, if my grow operation should catch fire and take out house down, I would be responsible, it would be drug related, and I could face felony charges. I'd be homeless (except I guess I'd have jail) and my name/reputation would be mud. I'm not willing to accept that risk.

It's been fun and I'll stick around to keep tabs on everyone else's grows but mine is over. Thanks for all the advice/comments because it'll come in handy in the future.

I'm trying to find someone to give them to but I don't want to let anyone around here know that I was growing. I have an idea though so hopefully I can put them up for adoption.

Thanks man. I'm bummed to have to do it but in the end I'll be happier. I'm definitely going to stick around here to keep doing research and getting ideas and making/keeping friends. I'll tell them bye if I have to but I'd like to find someone to keep them alive. If not, I guess I could smoke them or make hash or cannabutter. Any ideas?

if i could and didn't have to worry about money situations i wouldn't be growing DAMN THIS ECONOMY lol
but yeah def keep up with the research and friends ::

if i could take them from you i totally would and you wouldn't have to worry about a thing i would also give you either a half or 3/4 your smoke cause they are your seeds but of course i can't
yeah hash or cannabutter are great ideas cannabutter i would say is the best cause butter is used in almost everything and you can make it an cannaoil there are so many things you can do with it (finished or not it just won't be as strong) (unless you use all of it)

At this point I dont think butter or hash would be possible because there is no thc on the plants yet. Let em go for like two more weeks and you will be stoked!

Dam man that sucks to hear but you are doing what you feel is best for you and others around you which makes it a good choice in my eye. Atleast you didnt wait till they had some bud on it and then decideto get rid off them that would so much harder to do. And as for the rep thing dont worry about it you helped me out plenty of times for my grow so thats good enough for me. And as hard as it for me to say this, the lil devil on your shoulder (SoloSurfer) is right about not being able to make butter or hash.

i disagree with both of you about not being able to make something if you can smoke it and at least catch the slightest buzz you will be able to use it for anything the little buzz your getting isn't your imagination there is always the slightest bit of thc cause also like he said you can wait a few weeks longer and get a bit more thc there is thc in it especially when in flower

Yeah this economy definitely sucks. I wouldn't mind moving out to Cali just to grow legally but I don't know about the job market out there. Definitely worth looking into.

I found a good home for them. I called up a buddy that grows (he didn't know I was growing) and he gladly accepted the offer. He's coming by tomorrow sometime to get them and they're moving to a new home. He said he'll definitely hook me up with some of the bud since they're my babies. I'm hoping I can still get visitation rights and "joint custody"

The leaves have some THC. I smoked a few of the leaves the other day and it gave me a really slight buzz. I just don't think it'd be worth the effort making either one out of this small amount. It would give a small buzz but it's not a 5 minute task.

I definitely can't let them go another day. I feel 100x better today after calling it quits. I couldn't stand the secrecy and the lies anymore. That's just not who I am. I try to be 100% honest with people.

I'm glad you guys understand. I'm bummed because it would've been WAY easier to toss them before they flowered and I knew the sex but now it's like I'm quitting on the final stretch. I just know the smell will get way worse and everyday there's a potential of fire or discovery.

For sure I could get some more THC. These things are/were flowering up pretty quickly so hopefully the move doesn't stress them out too much.
