I've got it hidden pretty well but sooner than later, I'm gonna run all the wires better. I have the extension cord running from behind my couch, under the carpet, and into the closet so no one will suspect anything.
My friend doesn't smoke. He's pretty anti-weed actually. He's one of those people that thinks it's the worst thing in the world and that I'll be some useless pile because of it. I've actually been more productive lately because of smoking. It makes me really organized for some reason. Like if I'm sitting around my room I don't like it being messy when I'm high. When I'm sober I don't care about the mess.
He doesn't use my computer but if for whatever reason he did, I use Google Chrome's Incognito Window option so all my browsing history is deleted after I close out. It's pretty convenient.
Got a pic update too. The one is just taking off compared to the rest. I REALLY hope it's not a male.

very nice plants dude that sucks your mate doesn't smoke get some carbon filters when they get a little bigger you don't have to until a little before flowering

I would but that would be noticeable and the noise would be IN my room then. Right now, it's in the closet so you can't see/hear it.
Thanks man. I still need to get the lights closer but my idea is a little more complicated than I thought it would be so it's gonna take time/effort. Yeah it really sucks. I have a bunch of friends that smoke but the one I'm living with and my g/f are both anti-weed. It's one thing if you don't smoke but they're anti-weed... I found a home-made carbon filter on this site and I'm gonna build one of those for when it's flowering.

Alright. I finally got the height thing worked out. I now have the hood hooked to chains instead of ropes so they're all equal lengths and they're right on top of the plants. When I need to adjust the height, I'm going to use twist ties to raise the chains to the next link. I might even be able to raise it unevenly to adjust to the plants growing unevenly- we'll see. I have 5 lights on (4 6500K's, 1 2700K) and the temps are staying in the 80's. I just gave the small ones each a shot glass full of water and the big one got 2 shots. Anyone know what's up with the "funny" looking plant? It's leaves are short and stubby and all the rest have nice thin long ones. Unless my buddy f'ed up, these all should've come from the same plant.
Now I'm no expert but I think the big plant may be showing sex already. I'll get a close up pic later but from what I've seen from other people, it's possible. Maybe I'm just getting my hopes up.
So here's a question: what do I do about vacations? I'm probably going out of town for about 12 days and I don't trust anyone else with my babies and I can't take them with me. I saw some of those mini-watering-bulbs at Wal-Mart so I'm going to try those out. Is there anything else I can do? Can I limit the amount of light the plants get (as in cloudy days, shade, etc in the outside world) or something like that to keep them from using too much water? I was also thinking of transplanting them right before vacation so that they're growth will be stunted for a few days (maybe- might not get shocked at all).
Since my box isn't very big, I was planning to keep the best 3 plants that I get. 1 is already looking funny and 1 is slow but I'll choose which to keep after seeing the sex of them all.

those are looking good so far and nice job with the chains also the aqua globes are ok they aren't that good and not recommended by me cause it doesn't get all the roots/ soil which could kill a few roots i would think i took mine out

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the chains. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how easy they are to adjust. I wish I could just have some type of adjustable pulley or rack system.
I'll do some research on those aqua globes. I thought they soaked the soil and just drained out when the pressure in the bulb was greater than the pressure from the water in the soil keeping them constantly watered.
So just fill a pan with water (half an inch maybe?) and set them in it for the couple of days? Would be awesome if it works but instantly I think of 2 issues with that:
1- The roots might get root rot
2- The roots might want to grow out of the holes and into the water since it's their only source
To address #2, I plan to transplant them around week 3-4 to actual pots after I line the bottoms with coffee filters. I've seen this done before and it prevents water from coming out and it would stop the roots from exiting the pot.
So as you can see from my pics, the box is huge and the plants are tiny. I have several options and I'm trying to decide what to do:
1. Cut the top 6-12" off the box to lower the chance of it being seen. Right now, you can see it behind the clothes if you lean forward a little in the closet or if you're looking for something on the shelves. If I shorten the box, I can put some cardboard or something on top of it to just make it look like boxes are stacked up behind my clothes
2. Raise my plants and make the bottom 6-12" of the box a clone/sprout zone. This would mean that I could get perpetual grows going so I could harvest continuously (I figure about once every 2-4 weeks).
3. Leave everything how it is and just grow really tall plants. The problem with this is that my lighting setup isn't made for it. My setup is better for SOG and/or LST growing. I could grow them tall and not LST or SOG and just rig up more lights along the sides of the box but this seems difficult/expensive.
4. Other ideas?

Yeah I was pretty surprised. It's only a $200 camera but it's pretty new. I remember when these things first came out and a $200 camera was next to useless. A camera phone takes better pics than those ones did.
Damn... Guess I gotta keep playing the waiting game.

I doubt it will ever happen but if I got pinched by the law for growing thanks to the stuff that I put up on this site, I'd be pissed at myself.
