Hi, long time smoker, first time grower. I'm primarily looking for a grow for free reliable smoke and a bit of pain relief. Ruined my knees and back snowboarding a while back and have suffered fairly chronic (heh) pain ever since and sick of chomping down large quantities of prescription meds!! Enough of the sob story...
I'm looking at getting this grow tent

And hoping to set up a cloning arrangement. After doing a bit of homework I'm guessing soil and auto water/feed over a nft or some other hydro system would be best for a nooby? Also thinking 400W would be good for that size?
What I'm a bit stuck on is...
Am I right to go soil over hydro?
What kinda yield would that produce?
How many plants is right?
What grow medium and feed?
I really need it to be relatively low maintenance as I will probably only get to the grow location once a month or so. As much as I'm a noob, I'm fairly technically minded and I can work out the timers, odour control, ratios, well all the technical side to it really (not being a big head or anything, just love tekkie stuff
) but my pal at the grow site, in fairness would struggle with all but the simplest tasks.
Don't get me wrong, I love him dearly
Absolutely any advise or opinions would be warmly received.
