1st Grow - 25 Plants - HELP PLEASE! Plant Cluster Placement??

I have a 12x12 sealed bedroom, lined in Mylar, dedicated to this grow. I know this probably seems obvious but I’m brand new and haven’t found this reading in beginner’s section…

In a room this size is it better the spread the plant groupings as far apart as possible to give the plants maximum room or is it better to cluster all the groupings together to take advantage of any reflected light from the adjacent clusters? In other words should I compact all the plants into one end of the room butting them up, one cluster to another? Or use the entire room to spread them out. The entire room is 144 SF but I only need 80SF (according to the rule 1000Watt = 4X4SF) Should pack them all together? Or take advantage of all the space in the room to give them as much room as possible between each cluster?

Necessary Info: 25 plants (Indica - OG Kush), soil grow, well ventilated, (5) 1000Watt HPS Lamps, CO2 generator.

Thanks for your help!

Put 6 plants under each light and space them a few feet apart and yes spread them apart and keep the strains grouped together. And this is a large operation for a new grower might think of scaling it down a bit you could grow up to 25 pounds if everything went perfect.

If they are all the same strain, is there a reason for spreading the clusters apart? Also, from a lot of the feedback I've been getting is suggesting I could reduce the number of lights by using light movers. Your opinion? Also, if I utilize light movers would it be better to just line them up in rows? Thanks for the feedback.

P.S. 25lbs would be a "problem" I'd love to deal with ;)

no shit but 1 1/2 to 2 per light is more real due to not having a history of growing

First off you don't have to scale down your grow. You can totally stack them for a week or two. One quick question you going for sea of green? if you are going sea of green then I think your set up sounds fine without light movers. Just a quick idea start them inside now get them up to a foot or two then transplant to a outside grow around late April this would help with the light bill$$$$ then by October the 25 plants would be 25 feet tall well maybe not 25 feet tall but you get the idea. I guess some people forget you can always move the pots around to maximize light distribution what also helps with this is pruning to allow for more light to get to the inside of the plant.

Wish I could grow outside, but that's not possible, or advisable where I am. Good idea though - hell, I'd make myself a tree-house in the branches and never come out! LOL!

A 12 x 12 has tons of potential. You are going to want to take some profit from current grow and set up some hydro tables, or invest in some GH Waterfarm clusters and reservoirs. Hydro will blow away soil indoors when it comes to yield. We are all in this for the bud.

I'd put 5 under each 1000 HPS in the shape a the #5 side of a dice(die), one in the center, with 4 around it. That should give them lots of room to grow nice and bushy.
