My girls are 2 weeks into flower now but it's never to late to start a journal right? I got two bag seeds from quality bud I've gotten in the last year or two vegged out for 6 weeks, gh flora series and hydroguard, 2 air stones each, 5.8 ph, and they were vegged under an amazon giixer 1000w(actually 110w) and then and hlg 135 rspec was added for flowering. Temps are 78-82 light on and 68-72 lights off. Rh is usually 40-50. I'm learning as I go! I'll start with whatever pics I have from veg up to current, feel free to chime in

Both look very healthy, the short plant is loving being raised up her leaves are getting huge! A few pistils here and there but she's taking her time to flower and doesn't really have a smell yet, the giant is definitely hopping into it a bit quicker and smells like cat piss! Going to wait another week and do some light defoliating I think :hump:

Seems like chop should be right around the end of the year for the plant on the left and another couple weeks after that for the other plant. Very happy so far with the outcome of the hlg quantum board, I ordered the 260 rspec kit yesterday for black friday and a 2.5x5x8 tent as well as a bunch of seeds from seedsman with so many freebies for next run. I seemed to be ok vegging 2 plants under my giixer blurple so I'd like to get another tent I can veg in under that light and then flower in the 2.5x5 with the hlg 260 and 135 qb's. This way I can increase the amount of grows I can do throughout a year. :bigjoint:

The flowers look and smell amazing but the more mature plant on the left seems to have some deficiency or something going on, I could be wrong but if anyone is actually reading this and has any input on that I'd appreciate it.

So I tried to finish the grow without changing my res water out, just topping it off.... It worked for 2 weeks and then the ph bounced all over the place. The leaves started dying off quickly and by the time I realized, the girls were in 3.5ph. so lesson learned, always change your res! No more than 10 days. Yield was definitely affected since I believe the buds on the more mature plant were bulking up when this happened. Good news is I fixed them up and looks like they will make it to harvest! I don't think much longer than a week or two on the more mature girl.20201222_174422.jpg20201222_174645.jpg20201222_174729.jpg20201224_065402.jpg

I've been busy so it's been a long time since my last post. I harvested 119 grams of nice nugs(dry) off the two plants total, as well as a few grams of bubble hash. Not bad but certainly not what I want. A lot to improve on for next time around. I've been smoking the bud after about a month of curing and it's pretty good as far as the high goes but I definitely need to dial in the drying/curing to bring those delicious flavors and smells out.20210102_141807.jpg16123775695552001984765132874138.jpg

I wet trimmed and hung them branch by branch in a tent with a humidifier and small fan which kept it around 45 rh. My house usually sits at about 20 rh so it's really dry. The plants dried in 2 days which was a lot quicker than I wanted but they were getting pretty crunchy. When I filled the jars I got a reading of about 60 rh so I burped once a day for a week and once everyother day for 3 weeks.

That quick drying time before jarring is probably whats caused the smell and flavour to not develop fully, but having a RH that low in must be a pain in the arse to try and combat so I don't envy you. Are you going to try dry trimming in future to slow it down a bit or what were you planning?

Yeah I'll have to try dry trimming this time around, chop the plant at the stem and hang it whole. I'll also set the humidifier higher, hopefully add a few days to my dry time.
