1st CFL grow 180w bagseed - Day 69 (flowering 21 days) - how are we looking (pics)

Hi everyone,

I am growing 4 ladies under 180w mix of CFL's - 70% red and 30% blue right now and we are 21 days into flowering.

I only have pics of 3 of them because the other one is in a small 4L container.

I accidently broke/bent one of them right over when I moved on the 1st... there is a pic of the damage - I have splinted it back together with a chopstick and some pipe cleaners... the leaf stems are all red on it now and while it is still alive and growing etc the growth seems stunted and the damaged spot is still weak. Will it eventually fuse back together? any input here on the damaged plant would be cool.

I am watering them about once every 8-9 days --they take forever to use up the water. I have been using half strength shultz 10-15-10 and also mollasses but this week i decided to give them just pure water.

they are 30", 27" and 21" - the shortest one seems to have the best genetics - it never stretches.

Anyways my plants look kind of sparse to me for having veg'd for 48 days and being 21 days into flowering. I know CFL's are not known for growing super dense buds but I am just wondering how things are looking here and what kind of yield I might expect... there are trichs now for the last 2 days, just wondering how much these buds will fill out etc..

I am not 100% sure but they may be overwatered. Do you have holes in the bottom of your buckets for excess water to drain.

And as far as the flowering are you sure there are no light leaks in the dark hours. My girls are almost 30 days flowering right now and at 20 day they were a lot more hairy than your girls.

Check out my grow down below....

well I am only watering them ONCE every 7-9 days.

I have put 8 holes in the bottom for water to drain out but to be honest not much water ever comes out.

They are in 25L buckets and I feed them about 3L of water each every 7-9 days.

There is defnitely no light leaks.

I had to extend one day from 6-6pm to 6-9pm and twice the lights came on at midnight for an hour for no reason but it has since been fixed and is going on and off like clockwork.

perhaps I have a drainage issue?

Looks like your light may be a little too far away from what it shows in the pictures. You may have drainage issues if barely any run off water is coming out of the buckets when you water.

they picture is them sitting in the bath tub which is where I temporarily put them while I water them.

Usually the lights are 1-3" away.

I have 8 holes cut in the bottom of the buckets so I dunno how they couldn't be draining properly :(
kind of confused.

The only thing I can imagine is that your dirt is packed to tightly and water never reaches the bottom, but that actually sounds kinda silly

But if you water them enough to last over a week, you should definitely be seeing some run off

yeah it doesnt make any sense to me :(

im baffled, maybe im just not giving them enough water when i feed them??

they seem healthy, i just wish there was bigger buds

Oh im sorry, I didn't know they were in a temporary spot in the pictures, my mistake. What is the medium you are you using, is the humidity high in your room?

not an expert here, but seems to me that with such big buckets (and relatively little light per plant), maybe the root systems aren't spread out to the max yet. so it could be that the roots are absobing all the water they can in the first 2-3 days, and the rest of the water is inaccessible and slowly evaporates over the following 4-5 days. the solution (maybe) would be to water more frequently...?

but also i would definitely add lights if you're able to. from what i've learned on this site and my first grow, i'm thinking if you double the watts, you'll double your yield.

and i think the pinched one will recover no problem :)

good luck bro
