I sopose you can use what ya like. Just triple the instructions I guess. the reason I choose the smaller one Is too keep it in line with Rosemans instructions and the cost of running it. I only grow for personal use so Small is better in this case. I have 4- 4" net pods and that is enough for my system. The roots will get very large as you can see in Rosemans threads. I would open a new thread and ask about the specifics behind using a larger rez. Keep in mind too that more plants will require more of everything. GL

You'll need three times the air stones, air pumps, nutrients, etc

It is much much easier to control the pH of 8 gallons of water, than 18 gallons..............same goes for Temperature of the water too.

Paranoid and I both use the same amount of nutes for 8 gallon tank and 6 gallons of water. You will need to use 3 times as many nutes to achieve the same growth.
And we drain and replinish 6 gallons weekly, you will have a job draining 18 gallons and replinishing and adding new nutirents back and controling the temp and pH of three times the amount of water.
And my tank, Paranoids tank and your tank will be full of roots. You'll just have three times as many to worry about. And God help you if you get pythium, or any disease or pests in your tank.

solved my PH problem! I didnt properly prepare the container for my grow. Light was getting in and allege was growing inside. went out got the same size container and spray painted the outside with 2 coats of black paint. I also sprayed the top and covered it in foil tape instead of silver duck tape. I also used R/O water that has a PH of 6.0 added that with a 1/4 nutes till 14 days where ill add a little more nutes. on the next rez change ill add as roseman instructed. Plant and root grow is doing well should see a spurt in growth with the airbath I gave them. All this work I hope at least 1 of them is a female. If not back to sq1

Got some updated pixs today. I am 4 days into flowering on 12/12. little warm in there and got a little heat burn on 1 plant

Hoping leaving the cabinet open during its 12 on will help bring the temp down. i also raised the lights thinking it was just too close. I will keep a I on it and mod the light box if needed. Any idea on sex yet from these photos? probably not :evil:

You can bet money, if they are not feminized seed, the fastest growing one and the tallest one are males.

Thanks for the input again Roseman! There not growing to fast yet and there still rather small and bushy. Should I LST them? Not really shure how to do that. Also the burnt leaf, should I be overly concered?

I would just leave them alone for now, except I'd snip or pinch the top 1/4 inch of new growth off. (Topping)

I agree with that statement! If i screw this up its not for a lack of the wisdom shared! Just had my widon teeth out this morning so its back to rest for me. But I will say the drugs they gave me there were top shelf!!!!

Thanks for the invite Roseman!! Ill share what I know and learn as I go. Wow I was sooooo high on laughing gas this morning! what a trip best high ever!!! The only downside to that was they eventaully stuck a needle in my arm and put me to sleep

Dont remeber alot after the extraction but my wife tells me that I was high 5ing people and saying thaks for the drugs!!!! Cant smoke for 4 days but that will work out anyway seeing I have no stash

Still major drought here in the NE USA

Things are going well on the grow. Did a rez change and started bloom nutes. And gave them a good old air bath!! What a Diffrence that makes! Root mass Is getting very large now and plants went ultra bushy since I topped them the other day. Still got a little burn on 1 plant from the heat problem the other day but not getting any worse. PH is holding steady at 5.6-6. I would imagine the sex will be seen over the next week or so.
