First attempt any and all feedback is appreciated. Not sure how they should look at this point. Plants were germinated 4 days, probably too long i know and the pics are at 8 days in the ground. Have the fan running on them to help strengthen them up and a ghetto rigged 75 watt flourescent plant light and a 60 watt regular bulb and a 150 watt flourescent bulb. oh and dont mind the small sprouts on the bottom right those are rosemary and sweet basil lol :bigjoint:

Im no pro by any means, actually just started my first grow 4 days ago, but I do have some advice.

First off, and anyone correct me if Im wrong, but those plants look to be a bit stretched. With florescent bulbs you need them as close as you can get them without burning the plants or they will stretch toward the light. The regular bulb you are using probably isnt doing much, and it will scorch the plants if you get it too close, so I would remove it. You could buy a 26w Spiral CFL bulb at walmart for less than $8 and it would be a GREAT replacement.

My other suggestion is with all the clutter in the closet. I would DEFINATELY put a board or something up to prevent anything from falling on those lights. Paint a scrap piece of wood white and it would add a lot of reflective light as well as keep your stuff from falling on the plants and catching your house on fire.

Other than that the plants look nice n healthy, lower those lights and I bet you would see some improvement, and get rid of that regular bulb if you do lower them because its much hotter that the flourescent ones.

appreciate the feedback. ill put more pics up in a day or so, the plants are looking MUCH better. I replaced the bulb with a full spectrum 150 watt not sure if thats any better but it seems to be for the time being, and lowered the plants to about 3 inches away from the light, but not close enough that it hurt my hand after holding it there for a minute.

aha good call i actuallly had to replace the plant light in there because another light melted to it so i understand this whole fire hazard thing and will tighten it up

Due to the foot traffic at my house and the DEA being in town I have made the tough decision to move my babies outside to the country:cry:. Here are a couple of shots before they go outdoors, sorry about the low quality the batteries on the camera are dead so I had to use the webcam. will keep photo updates every week or so. Have been using 100 watt CFLs i think, not sure if those are the right ones but once I switched from the flourescent tubes I had to the CFLS the plants seemed to grow twice as fast. Down to 7 plants due to space issues.

Any tips or suggestions? I had them in those green pots in miracle grow organic time release soil i think and they grew through the bottom into the ground, they are in a very moist area. We have at least 3 more months till first frost, so I'm assuming they should start flowering soon right? I just gave them some off brand miracle grow so I will update in a few days with pictures.
