Well giving mainlining a try to see how it goes. I hope it does away with all the tiny buds. My last harvest I threw away a bunch of it cause it was to small and airy to mess with. The only thing I have noticed so far is growth is going kinda slow due to all the defoliation. I think my next grow I'll try the manifold and see if its any quicker. My set up is 2x4x5, 320w kingbrite QB running at 280w, 4" fan and filter, passive cooling, 5 gal pots and coco. Beans are peyote critical from barney's farm and geleto from nirvana.

You did such a good job it's almost a brag post lol!

They are primed to "go vertical" as I call it, now that the hub is built.

They grow an inch or more a day vertically from here. That first 4 to 6 weeks is annoyingly slow, but the root system you just built will power a real beast from here on out.

You know how much you tossed could have made a bit of oil or hash, even butter for edibles!

Omg, what a waste....buddy did that once told him not to...I made 60 grams of high quality oil out of his scraps

Save it, freeze, til you know what to do with it!

Nice job! The more people who are new to topping techniques who see this the better. I see a lot of Christmas tree pics of healthy plants here and always think how much more awesome their grow could be if they tried mainlining. Keep us updated, I want to see how these turn out!

I guess I have some reading to do, thanks for the input.

Thanks man! Yea all I've done before was just top and tie down. I was unhappy with all the small airy buds, so learned about what I could do to stop it. I'm ready to see what the results are. I'll do my best to keep this updated.

Waste not want not!

Ticture is easy, everclear in jar with plant material, freeze, shake everyday for a couple days or upto a month , longer the better... Strain via cheesecloth. Reduce fluids with double boiler , container over pot of water until approx half of initial amount is reduced. Can be added to anything or taken straight up!

So many options ... ;)

I guess my only question now is, will they still stretch as much as a regular plant? So I can figure out when to make the flip.
I would answer usually not.
I have done about 10 strains and none has stretched past 2.5x of the original height. And there were some sativa heavy strains in there. I plan for about 2.25x height from flip for my setup.

Well things have kind of been a struggle, but I think I handled it appropriately. We have had ice storms blow threw, so power had been off and on. I decided during those times to just turn off the light and have them in darkness. Now that power is staying on, I have made the flip to 12/12. Plants are about 10 inches from the base.
