Long time since I've seen you here. Looking forward to that pork butt your bringing, if your hauling it from the bay area I know it must be special!
Going to be a GREAT time, sooo looking forward to this BBQ, trying to get this harvest wrapped up this week. Talked to TLD today, he may be coming up as well to the BBQ.

I haven't been paying attention. If I bring a big pot of beans and rice what are my methods of heating it up? Keep it in the pot? Microwavable container? Crockpot? Or pack it real well and hope it stays warm?

Gastanker, both the camper & trailer have full kitchens. Gas stoves & ovens. We will have generators running, so we will have electricty. Also, BBQ's & a bon fire! We should be able to heat up them beans.
One hint we would use driving in Mexico is, wrap your food up in tinfoil & put it on your engine block. When you get where your going, dinners already cooked!

We would do the same thing out in the woods when logging..... make burritos, wrap in tin foil, and re-heat on the engine blocks of the machines working. Flash backs now jj......lol

Wow.. another logger that cooked on the engine of a 528 or D7? We are going to get along just fine. Many years here running skidder/cat... I can smell my burrito's burning on the engine block now :)

Hey everybody !

Getting closer !

Got a little bit of cold feet about making the drive due to finacial reasons but for the most part I'm still in I think. It's gonna be tough But I don't like to break commitments. Hope I can still make our Christmas riding trip if I do this. The Wife still wants to go.

If theres any room in the camper or trailer we sure could use the help,at least for friday night.

I have a friend up there in the Sac area that we ride with. He'll be coming. His name is "RockMonster" He would like to know if we would like to have one of his friends cover band play out there. Hard rock. I told him I'd check with you guys but it seems to me it would just be a reason for trouble.

K ! heres the plan if We make it.95 % sure .It's about a 8 hr drive for us so I would like to leave home about 3 am Friday morning to miss the LA traffic and make it up there at least to the bay area by noon. I have to stop off and meet up with Goped, Bongs and kona to bring some stuff and fired wood out there for them. If we need more fire wood I can pick that up too. Goped let me know your exit. I forgot.:blsmoke:

You guys gonna need any firewood? I've been clearing my lot and have a bunch of manzanita and some oak. I can bring a whole pickup load if you want.

The camper is yours bro. I just cleaned it up. Started-up the generator, everything is working fine. I don't think you'll be unhappy with the accommodations. This is a top of the line Lance camper loaded with everything. I did take the microwave out, but there is one in the trailer. You will have plenty of room with both the camper & trailer.
