1month old plants now what?

Ok I am wondering what the community here would do with they plants if they were growing them. How do they compare to your 1 month old plants? Please be honest, if they suck I need to know and what u might think would make them better. They r in a box that’s 4’x3’x18” and have them in 24/0 just for the heat cuz it’s been cold at night. Feeding GT Cocotek grow A&B in cococior. Will put in sun during day if it ever comes out. I’m making a 4’x4’x2’ box atm. Looked at mainlining/manifold type training but not sure about that one but have no problem doing what is advised here. Anyway let me know what u think. These pics r from a couple days ago, they have been growing fast as hell sense Sunday. I cranked up heat and humidity then feed them Sunday night and lower branches on #1 grew almost an inch over night. I have before and after pics too. Last 3 pics r before first 4 r after. I’ll try to get pics today.

Edit: also I used seeds a buddy saved from bags off street, think the plants I have r Incredible Hulk and green crack but have no way to tell, he saved a bunch from several diff strains.

Node spacing is a bit far imo, might help to lower your lights. Other than that they look happy.

Looking good mate!

You may want to start by topping the main branch asap, so you get more side growth, then keep topping other branches at your leisure.

By 4'x4'x2'... What do you mean? 4' lenght, 4' width, 2' height?

Also ,are you using any supplements? (Kelp, Fulmic, Humic, Bacterial Inoculants, Mycorrhizae)

How many watts of that Purple LED are you using (actual power consumption, not what they advertize)?

Sorry 4’tall 4’ wide 2’deep. The bigger the plants get the smaller my current box looks :-) I haven’t used anything except the General Hydroponic brand Grow A&B. Amended coco with a 4-4-4 organic fert and a seed inoculate. I’ll look in grow diary for specs. Been trying to find the other GT flouralisous suppliment in town but no luck so have to order it. But nothing else suppliment wise. I will have to count the watts again, thought it was close to 700. I have plant grow bulbs u screw in like a regular house bulb but I’m running 10 or 12, 4 are flood bulbs. I’ve been looking for a good light with adjustable spectrum and timer. Think I found a good one that covers 6 plants for $350 but I build almost everything I have so would love to build a light.
Oh and I did top the 2 longest branches on #1 last night and yes was wondering if I need to top main stem. So I’ll top mains when I get home and probly a couple branches. And c what I can do about node spacing cuz they r close to light atm but cuz they grew so much in last couple days.
Thanks fellas!!
I’ll get more info and pics later.

Since you're using COCO & canacoco AB, then just get a good bacterial innoculant like: Real Growers Recharge, or Photosynthesis Plus, or Tribus. They're all very good and work wonders. I've found anyone can get very good results by using Generic hydro nutes in coco + one of these innoculants and a good light.

If your budget and skills allows, it's highly recommended that you build an LED light. You could easily build a "Quantum Board grade" grow light for less than 1$ per watt.

A 4'x2'x4' Space (8 sqft area) will need at least 240 watts ("true watts omg?") if you want to get the maximum potential from your plants.

Can you aim for 5' of height space? 6' would be optimal. On another note, just a personal recommendation... Don't go over 4 plants in a 8 (4x2) SQFT space... Because it gets cramped fast.... Very fast... Even 4 Plants is pushing it.

I’m using those erect-a-shelves as a frame so can make it 8’ tall I think. 4’ wide 2’ deep 8’ tall. And do u mean the watts they bulb actually uses? Mine say actual consumption is 7 watts each bulb putting out the equivalent of 65 watts. With the quantum light will it b less than $1 per watt used? I had 4 seedlings but gave my #3 to buddy cuz like u said it looked like it may get cramped with anymore than 3. I also have a Train Wreck I’m about to flower, just started giving it Big Bud but it LOOKS like a train wreck!!

Plants look decent but nose spacing is definitely too large if you flower those girls will double in size when flowing so be careful on light placement. Every one shits on blurple LEDs.. myself included but if you want a cheap help to get those plants healthier pick up a vipar spectra to add to the tent.. if money is not object. Add a rapid led or hlg fixture. You just need more light. Even during veg you need good light.. that node spacing will make or break a grow in flower

Look a little small for a month. Honest opinion. And yeah the spacing is too far. Definitely lower the light. However they do look healthy so you don’t have much to tweak on your next grow.

That’s about my 1 month from seed only fed once. This photo is after taking a few clones as well. Just for perspective. I’m also under a 400 watt MH at about 16-18 inches from canopy.

Ok I’ll c if I can get a light this weekend cuz those lights have never been more than 8” from plants. So what everyone think, they still worth flowering beens node spacing to far? Was about to top them but wanted to check here again. Thought about cutting them at second node from top where the long stretch is and clone

If you want to help them bush out a bit, top them , all the lower growth will catch up to the stuff above.

They look fine given the lighting situation.

Best bang for buck and the lights that help with heating are gonna be HID kits. mh/hps. If budget is no concern and you can add heat to your grow space a different way, LEDS or COBS are all the rage. Not cheap amazon LEDS or COBS, they are all mostly low quality compared to the new tech.

Your plants are def worth flowering, top them and give them a little more veg time, get a new light and you`ll be well on your way.

hope this helps
Best of luck

Ok I’ll top them when I get home, great to hear they aren’t total crap. I was expecting to hear that they should b twice as big so great news!! :-) on the light, thinking about getting a full spectrum white light led. Looked at quantum boards and those may b a little out of my price range. There’s a grow shop here that has a full spec white that is supposed to fit 6-8 plants for $275. No timer or anything but dude says he uses it and loves it. Obviously people like the ful white better than “blurple”. Found a spectrum chart last night for both and I c y. That’s closer to my budget. Those pics from last night, the tops stretched a lil more looks like.
Anyway thanks for all the info and being honest:-) and if anything else may be useful please post. I’ll post some more pics in couple days.

Alot of people panicked about electricity even at a 1000 watt hps you're looking at like 30$ per month so what do you consider drawing alot of electricity .. what is the wattage of the cm light.. I switched to led to start drawing again but honestly if you're looking for quality nothing beats using " alot of power"

Well I got bad info on light. The $275 light is a CMH. Those suck a lot of electricity don’t they?
CMH are very good lights, especially for a cold area. Only high quality LED is more efficient, and much more expensive.

1000w light at 15 hrs/day x 30 days x $.15 per kwh = $67.5 per month. Run about 30-35 watts/foot with good LED and a bit more with CMH.

Great looking plants and yes I do c the diff!! With the light I have to grow in a box cuz I have 2 kids I want to keep them away from and grow supply guy says his cmh light heats up a 12’x12’ room, loves it but it’s hot. I’m looking at using a foot print of 4’x2’ to grow and self contained. Can’t have light leaking out :-) I was thinking that the cmh and others of that type would consume a considerable amount more electricity than the LED’s but I’m not an electrical engineer. Just trying to watch the budget. I did get some lights tho, got 2 Vipar Spectra v450’s to cover the 4’x2’. U talk about a bright ass light!!!!! Paid $140 each locally. Finally got a couple sunny days so set plants outside and they were eatin that sun up!!! #4 had its fan leave completely flat like a flag in the wind. Thanks for all the reply’s. If I missed ur question I’m sorry u may have to remind me :-)
