1lbs per plant? Background + Questions!!!! Suggestions Welcomed

Firstly my main goal is to get 1lb per plant. I understand the difficulty with this task, I really just want to yeild as much per plant as possible, and am looking for 3/4 of a pound to 1 pound; but do not know if what I have is enough. Suggestions are more than welcome!!

Here is what I got going now.

I am on my second grow and want to step my game up. Right now I have 1 400w HPS veg bulb and 1 400w HPS flower bulb. I am running aqua flake A and B with Multi-Zen for the veg portion of the grow with some root stimulus. For the flower I am running A and B with BudXL. My hydro system is an Ebb and Flow system. The system will flood 3 times a day for 30 minutes each time. (no pics yet) Right now I have 4 sprouts in rockwool. Once they get big enough I will put them into the system, but right now they are on a drip feed in a cloning dome.

With that being said I have a few questions:
1) Yes my goal is 1lb per plant, but with what I have now how much does anyone think I'll yield if I veg for 8 weeks and flower for 8 weeks?
2)Is my goal reasonable/achievable with what I got now?
3) should I add 300w CFL's for the side lighting? 1 on either side of the room and one in the middle? (buying more HPS bulbs is too big of an expense)
4) I understand that the longer the veg, obviously, the bigger the plant gets before they get put into flower. So if I veg till they get 2.5 - 3ft (roughly assuming that'll take 8 weeks) tall and put into flower for 8-9 weeks will that add to my yield? or is that just a waste of time?
5) Is there anything else I need?
6) SUGGESTIONS? TIPS? ANYTHING?

there is no possible way to get 4 lbs (4 x 1 lb per plant correct?) off of one 400W light. period. if you add that second 400W during flowering, and get an HPS conversion bulb you could maybe hit 2 lbs total, with CO2

if you are looking for one lb TOTAL with a 400W it CAN be done but again, you'd need CO2 and crazy expensive nutes

I think I would set my hopes a little lower, Maybe the 3-4 oz range??? Just a thought

it just cant be done try making alot of clones fit as many as you can in ur system say you make 10 of youll probably get around 1 to 2 ounces per plant thats 10 to 20 ounces if your lucky as far as 1 lb per plant not possible

you could prolly grow 2 plans under a 400HPS and get a pound total off both... and more than 2 or 3 6foot big plants under a 400HPS is coming close to too much for the light

Is it a wattage issue? Is it like 1 watt/1gram?

1000 watt maybe... you will need a lot of light to get a yeild like that

has to do with the amount of light your plants are gettin the more light the higher your yeild

i dont have much experince but i have a plant that is going to come close to one lbs. i FIMed the shit out of it and it has around 17 tops now all with huge buds growing as we speak. i just used a 400 watt MH for veg and a 400 watt HPS flower. i started BC but it killed one of my plans so i switched to general hydro about 5 weeks into the grow and then it took off and when i say it took off almost 6in. a day no bullshit.

i like the way you think...stay optimistic and good luck..house and garden has what you need to get that done...start a grow journal..ill subcribe to that shit..
