1KW Blue Planet Nutrient 4X4 tent grow!

End of the second week of flower... Spider mites seem to be gone, for the most part. I'm going to do a second round of "Wonder Wash" tomorrow. I did some more LST and Super Cropping tonight and I'm seeing good things happening to the canopy right now. The plant that I tried to kill last week is showing signs that it'll come back 100% and eventually fill out the back left part of the canopy. I'm keeping the nutes at 1000ppm for the next week while they recuperate a little. I'm considering defoliating after the "stretch" is done, which is approximately in a week... Has anyone out there had any experience with defoliating Chemdawg strains? I've found a few growers who have, but only a few and none that have said not too. Not really a large enough pool to draw on, so far.

Day 15 and allz good!! I decided to step the nutes up to 1150ppm tonight... Upped the bloom to 20mil/gal. The girls are looking great(no signs of stress)and there wasn't a reason to not increase the bloom to its max at the start of the 3rd week of flower! : )

Day 16 and things are looking great! They really soaked up the extra nutrients... I felt like they could go up a but more so I went to 1300. Still some discolored leaves, but that's from the spider mites. Temps are a bit high at 77f with RH at 30. All in all, the grows starting to come together.

I did a big clean today! Worked twelve hours first, but it actually felt good to do it. Girls are looking good and starting to smell more and more each day. The buds are forming nicely and overall the girls seem healthy and loving the BPN! One of these days I'll take a pic with the HPS off, but until then. Lol.

Oh man, spider mites are the worst. I've had them and tried everything I could think of... I'd think I got em all but a week later I'd find their devilish offspring. Good luck to ya!

Yeah, they're persistent little fuckers. I feel like I have them under control... Still a couple eggs, so I'll do a third round of Mighty Wash in the next couple days and every week till harvest as maintainence. It's a drag, but they shouldn't be an issue moving forward... At least I hope I do! Thanks for stopping by TGG!

A couple days ago I watered heavy without any nutes and within a few hours some of the leaves started to brown slightly at the edges and the plants looked a little droopy in general, not horribly though. I fed them that night a diluted mix and the next day I went back up with PPM's yesterday and today they look normal again, besides the crispy edges on some leaves. Could be worse. I caught a picture while the lights were starting to come on, so it's closer to what they actually look like.

Thanks TGG!!! They're starting to get there. Just after I took that pic, I did my last round of "Super Cropping." I'm hoping to even things out a bit more, but mostly it's to expose the bottom nugz on the upper branches to direct light giving them the chance to become fatter and denser and possibly "colas" themselves... It's a fun game to play!

Been dealing with some more yellowing leaves, so I figured it's probably magnesium defficiency coupled with some heavy pours with the nuts, by the looks of it. I put a little Epson salt in the nutrient feed and dropped ppms way down yesterday and again twice today at 1/2 tsp/g for the 3 feedings of about 12oz. per plant. I ditched the air cooled DYI A/C. It worked well, but I got over the fact that you can hear a very slight fan noise from 10 inches and in when the windows open, so I decided to run ducting to one of my windows and I'm drawing air from outside. My tents temps are at 74f and RH is at 40 @1000kw. Besides the yellowed tips and occasional crispy bottom fan leaf and a few bright yellow leaves, the girls are looking good. Lol. Mostly perky sets of bud sites with good looking new growth...

I just spent 6 hours flushing using a Hudson sprayer, 2 bowls and a turkey baster... It was too late to use the shop vac and I just decided that I needed to flush these cubes, it finally clicked... I should've flushed them earlier, way earlier. The ppms from the first run off were off the charts, literally. I figured the Hudson would give an even(SLOW) distribution of water, which should serve the plants better in the long run, I'm guessing it would give a more thorough wash of the roots. I'm tired...

I appreciate it Raiderman! Your grow journals inspiring as hell!! I've read many pages of it, but not in it's entirety, only 200 pages to go. Is Golen Tree worth the heavy price tag? Your yield and bud quality is outstanding, near perfect... I wouldn't mind your results : ) Happy Holidays!

1/2 way through day 32 of flower. I did a diluted milk wash yesterday after the lights went off after finding a few fan leaves on one of the girls. I diluted skim milk 1:9 to water, removed affected leaves and sprayed the plantd top to bottom, including the walls and tray. I found a couple leaves with PM a 2 weeks ago and did the same treatment and it worked until now. I upped the nutes yesterday a bit too much, so I backed off again today with both feedings and soaked the cubes till there was quite a bit of runoff. PPM's were at 820 with a 1/2 teaspoon of salt per gallon with a bit of grow bloom and micro. Merry Christmas RIU heads.

The end of week 5 of flower is nearing and I'm about half way there. I caught a little PM on a few leaves, plucked um and I'll do another skim milk spray when the lights go off, or there abouts... Nature vs Nature. My temps have been running a little high, around 77f with a high around 79f and RH's ranging from 26-41percent. I'm sticking with the 1000 watts... Temps here are supposed to drop again... We've had unusual warm weather this last week.
