so al.b is getting 2lb per light (1000watt) over 2 3x3 tables meaning a 6x3 area..
What about 1 light over a 4x4 area,..wot are ppl averaging on a 4x4 table?..
Im finding it hard to wrap my head around this subject, its all relative isnt it?, ull always yield the same weight per light depending on ur own skills yeh?.. so that means al.b could literally halve his workload in a sense (im aware that he'd still have to cut same amount of clones just at 1 time, and still trim the the same amount) but wouldnt he spend less time moving pots around and messing with rez's?
i was gonna run a side by side and compare..

theres usually the 1g/watt saying but theres some people who push it to almost 2g/watt like heath ross he has got more than that of two plants one 37 and other 43 oz and that was from i think 2 600's if i am not mistaken so it is depending on the way you want to cultivate it and your experience also. me on my first grow i planned on getting over a p but i think i hope i will get at least 9-10 oz in a 4x4 in coco but hydro does tend to produce more also. if you have the time and space to do two side by side grows, just put them all together so you dont waist any light gud luck in your experiment i will tune in if you progress

thanks for the input man...
anyone else with opinions on 1k light over two 3x3 (6x3) tables or one 4x4 table....... for perpetual ebb n flow growing

I think its more of a timing and personal preference issue, mblaze grows just a few huge monsters at a time but obviously that takes more time per harverst compared to a bunch of smaller plants that could be harvested and replaced more frequently.

im currently growing 3x3 600w & really like the results next move would be 4x4& 1000w or 3x6 &2=600w average ratio of 10,000 lumens per sq. ft. larger operations typicaly run 4x8 &2 1,000 w lights cut that in 1/2 & you have 4x4& 1,000w this is only my opinion & what i perceive as a basic guidline the reason i would like 3x6 & 2 - 600w is that i would basicly double what i now have getting 1 light to cover a length of 6' would maybe stretching the range of the light as the point of the bulb is in the center of the reflector & should radiate outward from there again only my opinion i grow9 plants in 3x3 thats 1 plant per sq. ft. i supercrop & trim off bottom growth to keep buds in prime light & cut down on all that popcorn stuff bottom growth generates

check my signature for my fist op in 4x4 with a 400 im not sure if im going to get a 600w lumatek hps/mh for my next grow and then use both 400 and 600 for flower but every body convinced me when i talked to them about yields for a 4x4 that a 1000 w'er would be the best and the guys i talked to weren t salesman lol. also alot has to do with strains and the conditions it lives in dont necessarily need co2 but would be recommended. and then there would be the heat issue too but i am sure that you are fully aware of that. if you are on first grow expext the 1/2 a g per watt you might get more but all depends on the atmosphere they are in and there feeding if nothing goes wrong then expect more already by you stating that you will use ebb n flow and 1000w i would say .6 or .7g/w ratio with out any experience as long as they don t wilt. when your tuned in you will expect almost 1.5g/w ratio in hydro. gud luck

HEY STREET LEGAL last grow was my first ebb&flow grow i got a little over 10 oz. & i made a few mistakes like mixing my strains & only vegged 2 weeks mango was done in 64 days purplewreck took 2 weeks longer my current grow is a g-13 cross of some sort im growing 9 of them theyre programing for once ive got an even growth rate .but for next grow ive ordered barneys farm pineapple chunk its a fast growing ,high yielding indica dominant strain & has a 55 day flowering time . ill then clone them &label each plant & the clones that come off of them so the best when i harvest will tell me which clones advance to my next grow i should of done this all along well i learn everything the hard way i guess i started last june in dirt then i made a bubbleponic unit then i upgraded to 600w-cool tube & built the 3x3 e&f which im happy with this has been a learning process & i plan on expanding but will have to build a new room as mine is filled to capacity

Sup dudes, thanks for the replys..
Yeh I already run sealed co2, cooltubes, AC etc..
I've decided to go the alb route, 1000 over 6x3.. I'll run 2000 at night and 3000 during the day.. Guess I'll just wait n see wot I'm pullin n tweak as need be

Sounds legit. I just built my ebb & flow. 3 x 3 under (1) 1000watt. As soon as my DWC is finished I'll be switching over to ebb&flow.

Looking good horrible, and I definitely will. I can't make up my mind about what medium to use. I have 50L bag of clean hydroton, brand new 4" RW cubes, and even net pots. Everyone has a different preference and advice but I keep changing my mind everyday..

horribleherk you're going to love those G13 btw.

heydrgreenthum thats a tough decision i chose rockwool because i can flood 1 time every7-10 days & using gh-flora drain to waste schedule i take what nutes [about 2 gal] are returned to res. & put in weed sprayer & spray on rosebushes & trees my yard is green & i dont have to maintain a reservoir the r/w slabs hold moisture the whole week you ph the slabs prior to use it truly is the lazy-mans hydro

from all the reading i did i would think the hydro ton and maybe the net pots alot of people have problems with fungus in the rockwol cubes but then again looks like horri is doing ok with it if i am not mistaken the real ebb n flow was made to use with the hydroton but thats mearly a guess from my part once my nl#5 is ready i will be using ebb n flow system with net pots and hydroton to hold her up but i think i use kinda cross breed between areo ponics and ebb and flow but i really dont know and have a long time to go till then i am curious in what you are going to use now?

ive been lagging on keeping my posts updated picked up another job . well i got in today & snapped a few pics ,still learning the new riu way of adding pics i started these the 5th of apr. turned light 12/12 3 days ago everything is going good would like to harvest by 4th of july this is first time growing this strain ive got barneys farm pineapple chunk coming from attitude [if it ever gets here] also would like to try dinafem blue hash i might keep the g-13 stuff around too but i dont like mixing different strains in my growroom these days i like everything to finish at once & grow at the same rate i topped these & got 4-6 main colas on each plant this strain fills in really well

(Budding) Water cooled 250 watts of light (half HPS and half 6500K MH) with cooling tubes 3 to 4 inches over 2' by 3' areas at 95 degrees F, CO2 at 1800 ppm, 35% humidity, SOG, 4 Indica plants per square foot, air atomized deep chamber aero with water at 90 degrees. 41 days budding to medium amber. Three weeks at clone/rooting and three weeks vegging under long tube compact fluorescense high blue wave length lighting (half blue actinic 420 nm, half 6500K). 18.5 dry grams per plant average. IE that is over 453 grams under a 250 watt light. That is easily a yield equal too the advertised typical yield of 450 grams under 1000 watts per 1 square meter listed as an expected yield by seed growers for an Indica strain.

IE lights are just one small aspect of growing. Many people use high wattage lights placed high above their plants thus providing less usable lighting than can easily be supplied by smaller lights. Plus a multiple of small lights supply light more evenly.

thats kinda what i was suggesting when i said i would like to try a 3x6 ' with 2 600 w lights as opposed to a single 1000w on same table for me i would use my existing light plus 1 more i know youre right about spreading your lights out as single high watt lights cover good at the center then you have to raise the light to get good distribution my buds are always less dense at the outer perimiter of light coverage my room is 4'x3' i use a 3'x3' table started out 400w then went to 600w my yield went up but the single point of light distribution still holds true . gotta say im envious of your yield

As long as everthing works it is quite nice. If one thing fails it sucks real quick. I have a flow device that shuts the lights off if the water for the lights stops flowing or the water quits spraying. The lights also shut down if the temp gets too high for the air conditioner. The lights shut down if the CO2 drops below 1200 ppm. There is s dehumifier also that controls the humidity if the air conditioner does not. I use huge air tanks to keep water spraying as needed for just over 11 hours so finally I have had no problems with total crashes for quite a while on any of my systems. The biggest problem with my systems are assuring charged batteries for the power invertors to power the sprayer timers that activate power to all the solenoids.

The few people who have seen my reef tanks usually ask what are all the little unlabled green indicator lights mean next to all the labeled lights for my coral reef tanks. I have a fairly large layout of meters and lights and switches abovemy desk in my living room. pH analyzer/controllers, EC analyzer/controllers, turbidity meter, particle counter meter, bubble water level meter controller, temperature/controller meters etc. So far they buy the Oh, I just have not labeled the reef tank fan and heater lights yet.

People are quickly reminded I am an engineer when the see the wall panel. My remote sites are as well controlled but definitely are not prettied up as no one visits them and they all have a care taker couple or more living on site. They are all at varying states of being upgraded. I am now accumulating piles of pH and EC analyzer/controllers as all systems are being converted to drain to waste systems.

My last grow was a 1k over a 5 x 5 area used gh 3 part yielded 1.45lbs that was my second grow that any help also this was a soil grow 15 plants in 3 gal pots of promix. I would think if you added a light mover to your setup you could easily be yield 2lbs as a light mover increases light efficency to 130% or so I believe
