Sorry to ask this but honestly trying to find this wire online is a nightmare, i actually went to a local hardware store and an electronics store, neither of them had any, been trying to find it, im either finding stranded (i don't own a solder and would like to try and not use one if possible.) or 1.5 minimum size cable, could anyone link me to where you get it online in the UK or EU, i'm only looking for a small amount as well, i've seen that you can get it on digikey but they want 100£ for x amount, i'm looking to spend the minimum, any help would be muchly appreciated.

That will work, .8mm = 20AWG. The Bridgelux datasheet specifies 18-24 AWG, or 1.024-0.511mm diameter.
